Gotta luv those Frequent Flier Miles. Just booked with American Airlines from St. Louis to San Jose for 30,000 miles and $30.22. I booked for March 26th thru April 3rd. My experience has been that if you book far enough in advance you can find available seats. If I purchased the ticket it would have cost $496 (thats a lot of sessions at the MP's). ![]() My advice is take advantage of the FFM programs. I'll do a roll call soon. Regards to all, kenj8 |

I'm anouther airmiles whore. Leaving for Peru this Thursday for $66 taxes($800 usual fare), headed to San Jose in April for $26 and back to Peru San Jose or Medellin late May of early June for 30000 each and still have about 170,000 left for future trips. Virtually free airfare is a great thing and AA has good availablily if you are flexible and book ahead. Continental seems harder to get as I have yet to use my miles there. Looks I will have to book something way ahead.rbc100 |

Speaking of cheap, Made my first trip to Peru on 22500 AAmiles thanks to credit card quarterly discounts. I know you are becoming a Colomia fan Calidude and it is on sale almost every quarter for 22500 miles with credit card discount.rbc100 |

RBC , I booked Continental using FF 4weeks before the Super Bowl Party. Never had much problem with them . Obviously YMMV. |

Anouther reason I love those airmiles is flexibility. I think some airlines have nominal fee to change but on AA if you change dates for same destination up to a year from booking there are no penalties.rbc100 |

Do you have to refer to yourself as a whore?! You are a human being, please!! Awesome! I have about 40k miles on Continental and was planning on saving it for a trip to Costa Rica toward the end of the year. Tico Times article today mentioned again that tourist numbers continue to decline, for whatever reason. I was wondering if y'all noticed a drop in airfare to CR? MDE in two months, followed by Peru, Costa Rica and maybe Thailand or Rio. I wouldn't mind checking out some asian women, see what all the hype is all about. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If I was to live each day as if it was my last I would have been dead a long time ago." - Traylor Park |

I think the number of tourists declining is due to less flights (at least fromMIA) and /or the higher fares. I fly AA and even with only 3 flights daily, they can't fill the planes. That is with US Air no longer going to CR from FTL and Taca cutting back on the number of flights from MIA. CR should subsidize the airlines to get more tourists...........WTF am I saying?!!!! Yankee Go home!!!!! |
