my luggage was stolen on re-entry from Costa Rica in Atlanta on my last trip suggest not bring the good stuff, brought louis vuitton (knock off) they thought it was real and stole it, upside delta will pay for it

I can see how this happens, they have never checked my bag at any airport when leaving baggage to make sure I was taking out my OWN bag.

I remember a time in the late 90's at DFW, while exiting the baggage area I was always asked by security to provide my receipt. I can't recall this happening in the past 6 yrs. Only guess here is they shifted manpower to a different area.

Still do it at my airport, they check the bags for name tags or baggage tags and compare them to your passport

bags were stolen by delta employee they never made it to my final destination
