I booked my trip to cr and will be staying at the barcelo tambor resort
Can some one tell me what my chances of finding local female company would be there, or did I book at the wrong place? just a note im not looking for steady company!!!!

Never heard of the place.....is it close to San Jose? Typically, the best place for action with the females is in San Jose in the "gulch" area. Getting outside of this area will be very "hit or miss."

I'm not familiar with anything you mentioned....cove?? If you're any distance from San Jose, I'd say your chances are slim to none.

rad, I haven't been there but there reportedly used to be a place called the Green Door and several other dive bars in Puntarenas where some action could be found. Not sure about bringing them back to your nice resort if you do find something worthwhile, maybe someone else will chime in.

It's a great resort for rest and relaxation (from what I heard), but definitely the wrong place to look for pay for play.

It's in the middle of nowhere. Not really, but for our purposes, it is. It's on the peninsula on the southwest part of Costa Rica. You need to drive a long ways from San Jose then take a ferry. If you are going during the rainy season (April-Oct), God be with you. Hope you have a 4x4.

If you can change your reservations, do so ASAP. This is not a place for your first(?) trip. Stay in San Jose. There are plenty of good hotels but you will not find them through Expedia or Travelocity. Book Hotel Del Rey (aka grown man's disneyland), Sportsmen's Lodge, or Hotel Presidente.

If you prefer a beach town, Jaco or even Tamarindo or Playa Flamingo are much better choices for finding ticas. Tamarindo is further up the peninsula into Guanacaste.

It sounds like you only want ticas for part of your day or night while enjoying the beach towns. In short, ticas are not your main focus. If this is the case, travel further north into Guanacaste.

Travelocity has the Presidente, Sleep Inn, Amon Plaza and Best Western Downtown in combination with your flight. Try to change to one of these hotels if you can
