I've had no problems flying Taca, but their customer service needs improvement. Calling the 800# is a pain because you are frequently transferred to the "right" department, even though you followed the prompts exactly, or like this morning, just plain cutoff twice in a row. Their DISTANCIA part of the website is down so I called. I got the same dude both times and he doesn't speak English so he "tried" to transfer me and both times he hung up on me. I can converse well enough in Spanish but for technical shit like this, I prefer hablar ingles. ![]() This is not a one-time occurrance, it's happened to me before. It doesn't get better going to a Taca center. About 2 weeks ago, I went in to the center here in NY to buy some miles in their 2-for-1 promotion. I was told, rather rudely, that I must have the email to be able to do it. What's with the fucken attitude lady? I contacted a few of the CRT's who bought miles and I don't recall them saying that they had the emails with them. I was upset not with what they said, but more with how they said it. |

Maybe they need to transfer their customer service calls to India, like many other airlines do. ![]() |

No issues here - didn't get the e-amil (I think they had my old e-mail address) but had no problem purchasing the miles at the Taca Center. Must be those bitchy New Yorkers.... ![]() Also never had an issue with the (800) number - the first prompt is "Spanish or English", and I've always been able to get an English-speaking person on the line. |

No problems here. On my last trip from LAX to SJO my luggage was misrouted and didn't arrive with me . The TACA customer service agents went out of their way to help track it down and called me 4 times in 3 hours at my hotel room with updates before they found it, delivered it to my room and gave me a $50 voucher as well. Maybe I just got lucky. |

I have used the Taca Center in both San Jose and Ezcazu a number of times without any problems. They are always very helpful and courtesy ![]() ![]() Seems if Orange had an experience that is the exception that proves the rule.Has been written here many times that when you bring a Tica to the US she quickly adopts the gringa attitude. Maybe those Central Americans who go to NY to work for Taco become New Yorkers very quickly. ![]() |
