Book your rooms now or you may not get any.You can always cancel the rooms if something comes up such as your girlfriend finding out what goes on in SJ.

Nmarti,

Proceed with caution and take some time to read this board well. If word get's out to the bride that you guys are in CR and if someone enlightens
her to what goes on in and around SJ there will be no wedding. A bachelor's party in CR is on a total different level than your local strip club
and therfore the risk element is at a total different level as well. A trip here could make the groom want to call the wedding off as well!

Yeah the Del Rey is the place to stay for a short trip, but definitely do not put it on your credit card if she has access to statement. I believe the word Google would would end all plans unless it is a open relationship.Between 12 guys after a first trip to CR and telling stories my bet would be on a canceled wedding.....May be a good thing in your after thoughts.Just kidding

Good luck

Not only will it call of the wedding but it may lead to a few divorces as well. It also may lead to a few weddings in Costa Rica as well.

Oh well. Life is short.

You should book a room a few rooms at a hotel as far as you can from the gulch and then book your real rooms at Sportsmans Lodge. This will probably be the best place to stay with a large group. The food, hotel staff and fellow mongers will make sure your stay is confortable in the gulch.

Good luck.

Stay at the Presidente,Sportman's Lodge or Castillo and spend time at the Del Rey. Staying at the Del rey will increase your chances of getting caught.

I have to agree with Toadtamer......................it certainly is better not to be tempted and know what is out there................it takes a strong man to resist that temptation...........i tried, but failed within 5 minutes! Oh, well, these are my own demons to deal with........

The gultch or as it's knows "the gringo gultch" is not an official part of town, it's an area of a few square blocks where many gringo tourists stay and hang out. The Hotel Del Rey is probably considered the center of the gulch.

I agree with the others. I would strongly suggest against having the bachelor party in CR. Do it at your local strip club. With the airfare and hotel expenses, it will all balance out. If you hire some low down strippers, you can have an equally good time. There are too many things that can happen in CR, especially the Del Rey. The bride to be will surely find out. Depending on how much she will be told exactly what the Del Rey is famous for, it may all end there. Or he may opt out of this thing after he sees the CR scene. AND THEN THEY'LL BOTH BLAME YOU!!!
