Are the standard $51 rooms decent? What size bed or do I need to make the chica sleep on the floor. Do I really need to get a mini-spa room?

All (well most) of the rooms at the Prez are good size. For the $51 ($54 next year) rate I always request a room with a king size bed. They also offer rooms with two beds. All rooms have small refrigerators and nice tiled showers. Some of the room have larger showers than others.

I sometime enjoy having a jacuzzi in the room if I am spending a lot of time with someone speical. The Prez has a wonderful jacuzzi area off the fitness room that can be reserved for an hour. It's all you really need.

I stayed more than 20 nights last year...... I have tried almost all the different types of rooms they offer.

Enjoy your stay. They will treat you right!!!!!!

The CRT rate for a standard room Dec - Mar is $56 . Joker97 and I have recently reserved 2 rooms for Feb. Still a great deal. It pays big time to be a VIP member. In one week I`ll save $236 including taxes.

The Prez is a pretty decent place. It might be the best place to stay if you're there with a group of mongering pals. The $51 rooms aren't bad, and the wireless connection is strong. It's chica friendly, clean, it has decent food in the restaurant, and it's not too noisy late at night or early in the morning.

Based on my experience of staying there over several years each time I stayed in SJ (around 6 months total), that causes a problem. The elevators and people in them are really noisy. I always had a preference for rooms as far away from the elevator shafts as possible. I won't stay in the intense pollution in the gulch anymore so it doesn't matter, but noise was always the biggest problem I had staying at the Prez.

I've already made my reservations. Do I need to have my card before I check in to get the discount? I choose to pick it up in CR but I may arrive late in the evening and wanted to go straight to the hotel. I know I can email them but thought I'd ask here first.

If you werent already aware discounts for room at the Presidente are now only offered to CRT VIP's and persons who have previously stayed there and who have have already received the discount.

With that said you do not need your card to check in as we provide a very secure email & screen name list only to the Presidente for security purposes and to provide the list so that VIP's may recieve the discount. If there is any trouble verifiying a member than we work directly with the MGT to insure that verification of the VIP.

I hope that helps.
