OK, I'm going through some semi-serious withdrawal here, & am going to need to get back to CR fairly soon. I've been watching the airfares on kayak as well as on certain airline sites & no decent deals....anyone got a line on a good deal? Man, the real world sucks! ![]() |

Bought I ticket on US Air for January about a week ago for $420 round trip taxes included from the East Coast. That's about the cheapest I've seen in several months...... |

you may want to check out American or Delta. I find that you can get a much better deal going directly to the airline's websites than through one of the travel sites. You may also want to search the net for airline discount codes to get added savings. www.aa.com www.delta.com |

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I've been checking that ita software site regularly, also delta & us airways...guess I'll just have to keep checking it regularly. I've pretty much decided to just bite the bullet & pay a little more...it's not that much more, & the benefits far outweigh the cost. BTW, there's an item on the us airways site stating that they're bidding to merge with Delta...any one more knowledgeable than me on these kinds of things care to speculate on whether that'll cause airfares to rise or fall? |

Just saw some specials on taca.com today...$534 from NY, $569 from LA. Neither seems like a great deal to me. How do these fares compare? |

Those are shitty fares. I am paying $433 (w/ taxes) on Taca non-stop NY-SJO next week. I am trying to book SuperBowl week, but I'm getting $572 which blows. I am hoping that it goes down sometime this month. I will just keep checking. |

I just check the current fare for the same January flights I booked two weeks ago. It's up over $200 for the same exact flights. Go figure..... It pays to continue to check the fares daily and book it when the price drops!!!!!! |
