Post subject: | Hotel Zona Blue Review |
I've stayed at the ZB a few times and it keeps getting better. The first time was a spur of the moment decision where I moved over from the Sleep Inn because I was tired of being ripped on the guest fees there. The ZB rooms are beautiful with big-screen tvs, dvd players, bars, refrigerators, and giant bathrooms with saunas, showers, and some rooms with jacuzzi-sized tubs (no jets). The Hotel ZB has good beds in the main room and acceptable beds in the "wingman" rooms. You need to be travelling with a buddy and enjoying the in-house talent to get the best value from the place. Whoever stays in the main room has to be pretty self-confident as the main room has no way to get any privacy. The rooms are quiet enough too with little street noise. Wireless internet is available in the rooms and access was stable and fast. You can get a free breakfast certificate for the buffet at the Clarion Amon which is ia nice touch since there is no restaurant on premises. This last few trips have been made with some buddies that are new to CR. Each of them really likes the atmosphere in the bar and the fact that the girls just don't hassle you at all. If you take a girl up, it is just $20 as the "room" fee is already included in the rate. A small tip to the girl at the end of the session is always appreciated (and I have never been asked for one). Given this kind of pricing, this is clearly the best place for a double session in San Jose as long as you like the in-house talent. The cleaning staff was great and I always had fresh sheets when needed and plenty of clean towels. This is one of my major complaints with hotels is not having enough clean towels. At Hotel ZB this was never a problem. I did bring back a girl one night from Key Largo. When she asked about the hotel, I just said it is near the Clarion. When she saw the place, she asked to spend the whole night. I sent her out before the staff came in, but $80 for all night with an extra morning session was a good deal in my book. I can see how it would be ackward to bring someone in during the daytime though.... The staff has been good with the reservations and responsive. I just booked another follow-up night for the end of the month. I've never had any issues with the management or security either. The Presidente is the best deal going for CRT members travelling alone or if you prefer the Del Rey/Key Largo crowd. But for those who prefer the no hassle, consistenly high service of the ZB girls, are traveling with a wingman that doesn't have too many inhibitions, this is the best value in San Jose. See you at the ZB.... Caju |

How much are the rooms? |

2 bedroom suites are $200/night for one person and $250/night for two, which is why it really pays to split the room with a wingman.... Not cheap, but if you are going to do several sessions a day at ZB anyway, then the savings with $20 sessions adds up.... caju |
