I have always relied on cheaptickets.com to find great weekend deals or compare prices in a month. But now they also have stoped flexible searches for outside the US. Anyone have a solid alternative recomendation for searching multiple weekends and carriers at once? |

I have never been able to use cheaptickets for flights originating outside the US. Kayak.com is very good for this. That is my second choice to use. |

That sucks. We lost a great search tool for flights. These others are good if you want to check different weekends in a month by reinputing new dates. But with the old cheaptickets you could show a whole months worth of weekend travel dates and pick a cheaper weekend to fly in a month. |

For some reason all the reservation systems stopped letting you search for the cheapest tickets over a broad range of dates on anything invloving international travel. They call it a security issue. If anybody has an explaination for that one I'd love to hear it. Maybe they figure when the terrorists are plotting the next great airline hijacking they'll want to do it with the cheapest tickets avaialble. |

This really pisses me off. I just discovered Orbitz has dropped the flexible dates for travel outside the country. I signed up with Kayak and at least I can get a weeks spread at a time. That's better than nothing. Berk...... ![]() |

Still using Sidestep.com, I believe it's been mentioned on the board before. |

It wasn't so much of a security issue as the fact that there are a lot of additional fees added to the fare that were not disclosed up front. When you do a search it gives you the results without those fees added. So when you see a fare for $499 it does not include $200 of various additions. Only when you book your ticket would you see these additional fees totaled up. |

I kind of feel like the airlines were making it harder for frequent travelers to find cheaper fares. So I call them have them find the dates that are cheapest, tell them I will think about it and buy them at their website. Xman |

Try this one ---> www.farecast.com It is new and does a real good job at calculating When to buy your tickets for the best/lowest price. They are building up so your destination may show up in the future. |
