First off, what an honor to be a VIP member of this incredible organization.
I will be arriving 10/13 for 1 nite in SJ where should a 1st timer stay. Off to Jaco and Quepos the 16-20, back to SJ 22-24. your input is greatly appreciated.

Stay at the Hotel Del Rey.

Later, you can check out the SL, Presidente, Casa V, Zona Blue, etc.

I hope you have reservations. It's kind of cutting it close, although they should have vacancies since Columbus Day is not a big weekend or anything.

Enjoy your first trip and report back when you return.

Hola Hola B-
The DR is a must for first timer, you will never forget your first impression of the BM. You will also have fun in Jaco, however, if you're not planning on fishing out of Quepos, you will be bored very quickly, even in your brief time span

Just my .02, but unless you have some reason to go to Jaco & Quepos, why bother?

Although I haven't posted a trip report on my stay from Sept. 21-27, if I could do it over again, I wouldn't have gone to Jaco at all. I found it too phuckin' hot, & the action was kind of slow compared to SJ. I got there on a Saturday & the BB was OK, selection still wasn't great, but it really dropped off on the Sunday. I had booked a fishing charter on the Monday out of Quepos & was planning to stay in Jaco that night, but I cut it short & went back to SJ because I found Jaco lame.
