Perhaps you might word your question this way, There may be times I will have a guest visiting me, would SHE be required to register? I think that should make your question clear to the hotel. |

I stayed at Costa Verde a couple of years ago and LOVED IT.Make sure you get the nice rooms with a deck attached, overlooking the water. I brought a chica with me and she was welcomed everywhere onsite. I saw chicas with guys everywhere so I assume that there is no problem with bringing in temporary chicas. |

Well, most guys going to Quepos/Manuel Antonio bring their chicas with them, from what I understand. There are precious few mongering opportunities in the area, so it's usually better to bring your own. It's never a problem, even at stuffy places like the Gran Hotel Costa Rica, if you check in with one lady and she is your constant companion during your stay. What are they gonna do? Grill you on your relationship? The problems encountered with this come from attempting to bring temporary lovers, or if the woman is a recognized and known prostitute...but even in the latter case, what are they going to do? I've never stayed at the Costa Verde, but the food is wonderful in their restaurant! ![]() |

Stayed here last year with a chica. Very accomidating and beautiful hotel. Also a near by alternative is the hotel Boo Ba Loo. Smaller...but very nice. Especially the penthouse. |

I checked out Costa Verde in June and would have stayed there. However, there were only two units left...very close to the road. My wingman and I opted for the Kamuk instead. The staff is young, educated, cool and very accommodating. There is a swimming pool high on a bluff overlooking the ocean and Manuel Antonio...the view is breathtaking. The units I looked at were cabins tucked away on a hillside...very rustic with no air...but definitely "one with nature." I believe Costa Verde is a good choice, and would like to try it out the next time I'm in Quepos. Any feedback after you stay there would be appreciated. |

Thanks everyone for your feedback. ![]() Myself and a couple of wingmen are coming down for 2 weeks in January. We’ll be staying the first and last night at the SL. In between that time we rented a house on the beach 3 doors down from the Hotel Cocal in Jaco for 9 days. (Hopefully far enough away from the construction noise). The last 3 nights we wanted to stay in MA/Quepos area. The nicest place I could find for the price was the Costa Verde Hotel. We did end up booking the rooms overlooking the pool and the ocean, only issue I had…No AC, I hope in that two weeks I’ll be acclimated. If it where up to me, I would have stayed at the Kamuk because of its coninent location. When I contacted the Costa Verde Hotel concerning overnight guests, they just informed me that “All guests are required to registered and show an idâ€. Many thanks to everyone on this forum; I believe that I’m armed with enough information to have a really enjoyable trip. If anyone is in Jaco the 18th-26th of January and you see 3 pasty white gringos sucking down Pilsens and saying “no Cien†please feel free to approach us and say CRT and I’ll buy you a cerveza. Post subject: | How would they know? |
At Costa Verde, like most of the beach resort hotels other than Jaco, they don't give a Phuck. Besides, at CV, how would they know? The staff is tucked in the railroad car and don't know/care/wonder who is with you going to your room a football field away. The mongering issue is not an issue in those places, so quit phucking it up and going to ask if it's OK. They probably think you're asking for permission to do something weird. |

Ricochet, Too bad you can't "stretch" your trip for a few more days. There'll be lots of CRT'ers in town the following weekend for the Superbowl Party. Food for thought ..................???? MG ![]() |
