Post subject:  Christening of Room 215 at Zona Blue.

My buddy and I had made reservations with Eddie to stay at Zona Blue for the CRT Anniversary Party back in May. I must admit that I was a little apprehensive as we were to be their first guests.
We arrived at ZB around 10:30 PM on August 31. We were greeted by the night manager George who was somewhat nervous; we were the first guests he ever checked in.
George took our bag to our respective suites showing us the light switches, safe, TV an a/c controls ECT.
My room was outstanding. It had a wet bar with frig and ice, big screen TV with DVD and CD player in surround sound. The bed was king size and had the softest mattress I’ve ever had in CR.
The bathroom was a killer. The shower doubled as a steam room. There is a separate sauna room. The water was always hot and had good pressure. The bathroom looked like something out of Architectural Digest.
There is wireless Internet and 24 hour coffee (very important to me). Every morning we had our choice of going the Clarion or a great soda for breakfast, both less than one block away.
Spending the day just hanging around the Hotel was incredible. I the morning before breakfast I would go down stairs and support the local economy by offering employment to some of the girls. I would also do this in the afternoon before taking a nap. I had not been with any of ZB girls before this trip. I usually go to the DR. The difference in attitudes between the DR and ZB girls was night and day. The ZB girls were very concerned about making the client comfortable and they really enjoyed their work. (So did I). Spending time with them was not in any way as mechanical as most of the DR girls I’ve been with.
One of the coolest things about staying at ZB was coming back late at night. I would roll in around 2 of 3 in the morning with a couple finds. George would open the bar turn on the music and pour us drinks. We would have the run of the place as long as we wanted.
Eddie was a great host. Anything I needed was taken care of immediately. He went out of his way to make sure that my stay was enjoyable.
The cost:
$206.00 per day including taxes, breakfast. Entertainment: $20.00 per hour.
Parting all night downstairs: $100.00 tip to George at the end of my stay. Living in a harem: priceless.
There is no reason to leave Zona Blue it’s more like being in the womb than like staying at a hotel.
