Post subject: | First CR trip!!! |
Hey guys! I'm going on my first CR trip on the 23rd. I just recently joined, but I have been enjoying the posts on WSG forever. I had shyed away from coming to this board, as I hadn't made the commitment to go to CR. So, now I have! and I'm looking for some info... I was hoping to stay at Casa Vino, but that is booked up, so now I'm faced with looking again. My current top contender is SL, but I fear that it might be full as well... I don't think I want to stay at DR, simply b/c I like to have a nice place to stay. I had considered the Presidente Suite, but after hearing about the 1 Tica rule, and KNOWING that I want a minimum of 2-3 on a regular basis, that didn't sound like a good idea. I also need to have internet while down there. The ZB rooms sound AWESOME, and if I could get one of those the week before they're scheduled to open, that might be the best thing, but I don't know how I would go about trying to do that. I might be joined by my wingman, but he's still unsure if he can come, so ideally we would get something like the PH in SL, or one of those suites at ZB. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd welcome them. Also, I see that several of you guys are planning to be down there at that time, perhaps we can meet up. thanks, qbf |

hey quick, welcome to CRT. This board is 1000x better than WSG or ISG, just read and read and read. I am by no means a vet, but on my first trip i stayed at HDR. No, the rooms are not that nice, although they are clean. The convenience far outweighs the fact that the rooms are outdated. One other option is to stay at a nicer place and rent a short time "no-tell" for your 3 and 4 somes. I now i did ![]() Also, remember these two words.... 1) NEXT! 2) NO (to Cien) Enjoy, you will be back! |

Thanks! Since this will be my first trip to CR, I'm a little unsure of what I'll find. I'm arriving late at night on my first night, so I thought I might start out with a couple of G&G girls for that night, and then see what I find the next... You know how it is guys, when you arrive, you don't want to spend any time looking, you just want to get the first few out of your system, and then sit back and relax... My spanish is good, but my negotiation skillz SUCK, so I'm a little leary of getting there feeling like a horndog, and saying yes to pretty much anything... What has been your guy's experience with what the girls are willing to do with you? Cause I'm hoping some of them speak greek, and won't spit... What's the likelyhood of finding that there? Please forgive me if this is an innappropriate question... Thanks everyone! qbf |

QBF, I would recommend bypassing G&G. You are always welcome to use them and I have not heard anything bad about them but the DR is wall to wall chicas there is no need for G&G. Why settle for whatever they have when you can have your pick? As far as saying no to the chicas, just do it if they ask for too much or you are not interested. You will be the one in demand, not the chica. Stand your ground and you will be fine. As far as your other question, you mentioned that your Spanish is good so you should have no problem asking for what you want. Don't worry, she won't be offended. Just make sure to neg. whatever you want up front. There are plenty of girls to choose from and all kinds of different services are on the menu. Have a good time, D.S. |

Hey DS, Thanks for the suggestion! I've never mongered in Spanish, so I'll need to learn the phrases... I've done almost everything else in spanish, but, for example, I have no idea how to say "I want BBBJ NQNS" I've strayed from topic though... I'm still waiting to hear back from SL as to whether they have space, and if they don't, and Casa Vino is out, are there any other compareable accomodations out there to the PH in SL? Thanks, qbf |

Fox- I think you owe it to yourself to stay at the DR on your first trip. It is an experience you will never forget, and your friends will have a hard time understanding why you have become addicted to CR. As for spending a lot of time looking for a chica on your first nite--I think it was almost twenty minutes before I hooked up my first time. Buena suerte--enjoy |

QBS, I am sure you will be fine. On my first trip I spent the first night in the DR. Nothing better for a first trip. All the chicas right down stairs waiting for me. Didn't have to leave the saftey of my surroundings for my first night in a new land. The next day I switched to the Sl and things went great. Would I do the same thing again on a future trip? Hell no, but for your first trip I think it is the best thing to do. Start @ the DR for one night then switch to the SL for the remainder of your trip. Pura Vida! D.S. |

Quick Blue Fox, Welcome to CRT! I was on WSG for awhile as "blind Lust," but this board is much better for C.R., and even has some great, fresh information on other destinations. I didn't see an avatar (function of my modified PC), but if you haven't yet joined the VIP, please do so. * Support the board * Gain access to the VIP section and photo/video galleries * Huge variety of nice little discounts: Sessions at ZB, rooms, food and beverage at Sportsmen's, free strip club admission, one free drink with purchase of same at Bar Idem, numerous restaurant discounts, room discounts in Jaco Beach, discounts on ATV tours and deep sea fishing, much much more. Hustle if you're going to get a room at any of the Gulch or nearby hotels. I will arrive at noon on the 23rd and will be at the SL. Look me up on the 24th; it's always great to meet new CRT'ers. ![]() Here's what to do RIGHT NOW.... 1. Go to the Newbies section and read the FAQ, Ace's list of what to bring and the other useful info there. 2. Go to the "Massage Parlors..." section and print RBC100's Tico Bar list 3. Read some trip reports to get a feel for how guys negotiate. Here's a couple Spanish freebies for you (and there are actually whole threads about using Spanish in play-for-pay): Mamada sin condom - BBBJ Tengo ganas a regarme en su boca - I want to C*m in your mouth Regarse - lit. to water/irrigate oneself, in C.R. it means to bust a nut. The main thing to have set before negotiating: Know what you want and what you're willing to pay for it. Budge off neither, except maybe a little play upward in price. If you see Miss Costa Rica and she demands a hundred bucks and won't move off it, tell her the hundred is fine...for two hours and three pops. Greek: Yes. It's not widely available, but many girls do it. In a Catholic country where birth control is frowned upon, lots of Latinas do the booty duty as a form of primitive birth control, so it's not as rare as you think. Please play safe in the dirty part of the backyard. We're all happy to help a new guy, particularly if he takes the time to RTFF and use the Search function. Will you still be around for Labor Day weekend? If so, you've got another good reason to pay the $39.00 to join VIP. The CRT 3rd Anniversary Party is going to be a lot of fun. |

First, I agree there is just no comparison between CRT and those other sites. If you're still looking for lodging you couldn't go wrong at Hotel Castillo. Around $50 per night with your CRT discount, friendly, helpful, non-judgemental, quiet. You have SL just around the corner, New Fantasy and ZB down the block, and DR/KL an easy walk daytime, $1 or 2 taxi ride at night. I arrived about 11:30 my first night in May and went straight to DR and KL. That's just about when the action heats up at Key Largo anyway. |

Hey QBF, I stayed at Castillo my last trip and found it to be very comfortable, clean and quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Someone is at the front desk 24/7. I didnt arrive at the hotel until about 11:45 pm. I got settled and went to the front desk a to hail a cab to DR. I walked in the DR and found a seat at the bar to do some chica watching. The girls will approach you like you are fresh meat, relax , dont be in a hurry to chose a girl, this will pay off big time if you can be a patient hunter. I could chica watch all night, I find this very entertaining. Just imagine yourself at a college party with 100 girls walking around 18 to 30 years old and that you can have any one of them that you want, thats the DR. |

Hey Guys, thanks for the advice again! I joined the VIP about 6 hours before my first post, as I wanted to see if the VIP section contained anymore info, before I posted... I'll be arriving on the 23rd at night - gotta work that day, even though I assume I won't be thinking about work at all that day! Raw, I really enjoyed your description of the bar like a college party! El Ciego, Re: Ace's list, I was hoping to wear shorts most of the time I was planning on being there, I'm 6'3" and look Gringo no matter what I wear, only difference is people can't talk about me in spanish, w/o me butting in... Also, thanks for the "regarse" line, I would have probably said "me quiero venir en su boca" but how do I say "swallow!" And, hey, if Miss CR comes by I'll give her 100 if I can take a pix of her mouth around me... The blackmail alone will be worth 2 more pops ![]() I unfortunately won't even be there for the birthday party... I'm leaving on the 28th, but I still hope to meet some of you guys while down there! Doing DR for a night, sounds like a good plan... I have a couple of friends down in SJ and staying at DR might make the purpose of my trip too obvious. I think SL might be less obvious, while still allowing for as much of it as I want, which hopefully will be more than I can handle! LOL Maybe I can do SL for 2 nights, and then once I've met my friends, I can do ZB or DR for the last 2 night! Of course, if I do ZB, I might not leave there for 2 days... I guess there could be worse things in life... qbf |

Well, I'm all setup. Thanks to everyone for your advice/help/information. My wingman and I will be arriving on Wed. night, and staying at the SL for 2 nights 23rd & 24, with a followup for 2 nights elsewhere... yet to be determined... Hope to meet up with some of you guys there. We're both CR newbies, but hope to come back as used up as an old car mechanic's wrag... qbf |
