90 days no interest...Uh-Oh, I see more CRT members going into debt. :)
Quote:
US Airways is offering a promotion through Nov. 30 that lets passengers wait 90 days after booking a ticket to pay. After 90 days, they are charged 17.99 percent interest on the balance due.
The promotion began last month. When ordering tickets online, customers must check a box on the purchase page to receive the offer.
A Timonium, Md., firm, I4 Commerce, is in charge of collecting the payments and remitting them to the airline. Under the standard Bill Me Later payment option, customers are charged five to seven business days after they book flights.
The 90-day payment option was one of the airline's most popular promotions among passengers when it was offered another time, said Valerie Wunder, a spokeswoman for the airline.
"Obviously, customers liked it. So we want to do it again for them," said Ms. Wunder, who could not specify how many passengers used the promotion last time. "Now that the holidays are coming up, this is a good time to start thinking about plans."...

I'll have to check it out. US Air has good flight schedules from Chicago.

I never post but I saw that and was wondering about that. I'm looking at a New Years Eve trip and everything is sold out except first class. For the price, $1040 for first class it isn't bad and for 90 days free it seems a bargin when normal flight are running $600 - 700.

Since you don't post much it is difficult to know your experience with CR but if you are not a frequent visitor I would re-evaluate the NYE trip, especially at that price. There are numerous threads on how lame San Jose is during the holidays. I've experienced the last two NYE's at the BM and I can tell you it is pretty much a schlong fest. If you know some local women then you would be alright if you set up a few dates.

I'm a horrible lurker but I've been to CR more then a few times.

I did the research on CR for NYEs. I read NYE is a sausagefest but what about the days leading up to it and after? I'm looking at coming in on the 28th and leaving the 3rd.

Best deal on US air right now is to get the Master Card. If you have a local wingman the two of you can travel cheap. After a month of signup and using the card you get a companion certificate for 99.00. We save 500.00 on 2 tickets. Some restrictions.

If you don't have any companionship lined up then it pretty much sucks from Xmas through the first week in January. Many of the girls go home for the holidays only leaving the Ticas the majority. Even the Ticas are scarce at times because they want to be with their family instead of phucking fat old gringos. IMHO the first weekend of January 2007 forward would be a better time.

Thanks for the advice. I may revise my trip schedule.
