Just checked the Continental web site for DFW-SJO for 8/16-8/20. Price including taxes $821.00 WTF!! Ridiculous

Hankkh – I always fly Continental thru Houston from Seattle. If you are able to, mess with the dates; they are all over the board.

I plugged in your dates and got $832 RT SEA-SJO including taxes (how I can fly from Seattle for only $11 more than you can from DFW I do not know), but IAH is a CO Hub. From DFW have you looked at American?

Anyway, yearning for a trip for a while now, I messed with it. Adding one day to your dates, return 8/21 I got $756 incl.. Changing it from 8/14 – 8/25 I can fly for $524 incl.

So that is $300 difference just juggling a few days. I know not everyone (including me right now) can do this, but just shows ta go ya. I have plenty of miles for a free flight, but hahaha – that is a whole other tube of mustache wax.

Tweak the dates if there is anyway you can. Whatever way I look at it right now, I am grounded till after Labor Day, due to the damn times I am able to get away. I’ve been traveling back and forth for four years – It will get better and cheaper in the Fall, not that that helps a horny man in this moment.

I agree that changing your dates will probably lower your fare.
From New Orleans to SJO on continental, I'm seeing prices in the $400 range for the end of August. Good luck.

Say you used EWR and had a business trip to Oklahoma City on 8/22. Price the lowest fare EWR-OKC for 8/21-8/23 flights, it's $718. Now price EWR-OKC-SJO-EWR for 8/12-8/23-8/26, and it's only $824. Sometimes it's even LESS to add SJO, but I think $125 to go to SJO is a bargain! That type of pricing is why I will be there next week.

Gave up on CR tickets. Not worth it this year IMO. Hawaii is looking good. $250 roundtrip to Waikiki. $340 direct to Kona. Hula girls here I come!!

I noticed that sometimes on the "new designed website" for Contential that when you plug in your dates that if you don't check economy seating it will automatically give you prices for Buisness/first class. Make sure you have the right button checked off.

I hate that "new" page design.
