I usually stay at Presidente, but looking to change it up.

How far from Del Ray is it?

Do they have room service and in room safes? Good AC? Quiet?

It's only a few blocks away but you need to take a taxi, especially at night. I also taxi during the day, better safe than sorry these days.

At night, non-metered taxis charge 1,500-2,000¢ to go SL<->HDR when it should be about 650¢.

They have room service from 8am until 10pm (I think) whenever the kitchen is open. The times may be off a little, but close.

Safes in every room and now A/C in every room, even the old wing.

The chicas there can be hit or miss. Some nights are very good but there are dead nights too. The quality is also YMMV. Most are average looking, a few hotties. The prices are also better than HDR, cien is rarely heard.

Room rates range from $49-$99/night and also the $250/night penthouse. The new wing is modern and very nice.

I like staying at SL, been there every trip. The atmosphere is great for mongering, nobody questions you or gives you dirty looks. No chica fees or stupid dress codes/chica limits per room. The staff is good. The prices (rooms, food, drinks) are relatively higher than other places, but not horribly.

I've read many reports lately about noise from the bar and the hallways, but I have never had a problem with it. Maybe I'm a heavy sleeper.
