Does anyone know where I can get flights to Cr from the midwest? I live in Iowa, does anyone have any suggestions from around the area. I am going to go visit my brother in Ft. Lauderdale in October can I get cheap flights from there and would it be worth my time to stay in SJ for 3-4 days? Any input appreciated. Thx jj

Things may change but at the present there no longer is direct service to SJO from FTL. You have to back haul through North Carolina.

Flight from Miami have been consistently running about $500.00 Think the best thing for you to do is contact Tico Travel (1-800-493-8426) in Ft Lauderdale. They always seem to have the best fares of anyone if you are leaving from South Florida.

Good Luck

I regularly fly to CR from Green Bay or Chicago and have found that even tho, sometimes I have 3 flights, the prices are competative with what the guys with one hop are paying. You may want to look at flying out of Chicago - Ohare and finding a shuttle bus to get you to Ohare. Many have free parking in their lots...which can save you a bundle.

You can also fly/drive to St. Louis Lambert. I fly out of STL to Miami then to SJO all on American or you can fly American from STL to DFW. Other carriers out of STL can get you to SJO via Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston. (Gringo Malo: On your tag line, do you mean Lambeau?) Wile Coyote (Adios!)

Wilecoyote: No....I mean Lambert Field. That's what John Kerry(who by the way;declared himself to be a great hero of the Vietnam War) called it when he came to town, pandering for votes back in 2002.
