Free WiFi at the Prez. Also barely works in the News Cafe. Costs $10/day at the HDR.

If you mean high-speed by US standards, the answer is NO!!!!

High speed in CR means up to 1000 kbps with no consistency. Just to show you the difference, real (cable or hi-speed DSL) high speed in the US starts at 3000 kbps.

I didn't know it was available at the HDR. How fast is it? I realise it won't be the same quality as here in the US. But 1mb is usable for my purpose. Does the SL offer internet in the rooms. Thanks, Win

Yes, SL has wireless throughout the hotel, all the rooms, atrium, and bar. Plus, they have 4 or 5 terminals setup for guests to use if you don't have a laptop. It's actually pretty good at SL.

While we were in the BM, my friend, staying at the HDR, went and got a WiFi access code, good for 24 hours, for $10. The signal was REALLY bad. It was only fun as a novelty to post on another board while we were in the BM. If your WiFi reception is better then mine, you might do better.

The Prez WiFi was pretty good in the room for posting on boards and email. Did not do anything that really needed speed. The WiFi in the Cafe at the bar was largely unusable - worse than in the BM - but at least it was free. The Cafe has some seats with easy access to an outlet if you want to laptop while you are at a table.

Amon Plaza has free wireless also. Works well (CR standards) very consistent throughout the whole hotel.
