I just came back from 4 days at the Presidente and was worried abut what I have been reading. I never experienced a problem nor did the other 3 newbies who came on the trip with me and did not know anything about a dress code.
I asked about the code and was told no mini skirts and no halter tops. I did not pick a girl with a mini and the others either had a jacket or pulled their shirt over the belly button prior to going in.

The hotel was packed with mongers and also a lot of regular tourists. Including a gringo tour group. The two factions co existed in the News Cafe every night.

This was my first time staying in the newley renovated section and the rooms were great and the sports bar on the second floor is also very nice and a great alternative after 10pm when the news cafe closes.

Other guys might have had different results, but the Presidente is still my hotel of 1st choice for every thing it offers.

Thanks for the update X. I will be staying at the Presidente in less than three weeks and was beginning to worry about my ability to bring back some "entertainment". This helps to alleviate my fears.

Good luck i have been going down for 9 years . they should have a dress code for all. one i bought a jacket for, she was dressed nice.there dress code is anal. pura vida,Lord Vader
