Post subject:  Feedback on possible options in Jaco

As I wrote a month or so ago, I'm exploring options of getting a nice house to offer to my clients and also to members on the board who might be interested in other options in Jaco. I just wanted to get a bit more feedback on what would be acceptable. Don't go crazy though. Found a house in Jaco Sol the other day. Right around the corner from the Monkey Bar, which is 100 yards or so from the Beatle Bar. I'm looking at getting a 3 bedroom house with a pool, AC and maybe wireless internet. I would want something with good security. Now, for pricing. I'm trying to make it nice and would possibly have one price if you wanted it like a hotel, with a maid coming in daily with fresh towels and such. And another price if you didn't need this for your stay. I'm close to taking something if the right deal comes along. I'm also wanting to use it to throw some killer house parties this summer. Anyway, any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I would hate to get a place and people tell me that something is unacceptable.

My thought are this.

3 room house is more room than a wingman and I would need. Thus the price for such will prob be out of our range.

Security to and from or around a place not frequented by many tourist might concern some.

Cleanliness and who is around when something goes wrong. Problem at hotel you call someone comes and fixes it or swithes your room.

If I did have 3 people and the privacy of a house and pool is what I wanted (and it is) I would like to see the following: armed security 24/7 on site. A person I meet when I get there with a local number should there be problems. A semi stocked kitchen drinks and snacks and possibly a gopher type service when I wanted replenishment or additional things in the kitch. Gee I'm not picky at all.

The maid is a good idea.Preferably a hot one! Nobody will want to bring thier own towels. A hair dryer in the bathroom would be cool. Pull-out sofa, extra pillows in the closet, safe in each room. washer/dryer could take the place of a daily maid. Put me on the list either way 8) .

The Club del Sol has this set-up. They are two bedroom condos with two baths, kitchen, living room, full laundry area and a patio/deck over looking the pool. Maid service daily and 24 hr security. The cab ride was 1 mil to the BB. All this for $125 per night!!!!! I thought it was a great deal.

It's been one thing or another. Either the owners asking a ridiculous monthly rent or a lack of privacy. Looking for a place with a wall, where anything goes around the pool. Have an appt. to look at a couple more on Monday.

Learn the phrase "más hielo, por favor"..... More Ice please! You'll need to know it because Jaco is HOT!. My experience was the girls were ok...nothing really special. I saw a hand full of hotties but nothing compared to SJ. I guess its ok for a change of pace. I personally still prefer the options of SJ.

I did stay at a great place the Casa Del Sol condos just outside the city. Only a mil taxi ride to BB. Nice one and two bedroom condos with all the perks. Nice pool area also.

Waiting for this one house that might come available in August. Have been a little hesitant because people want a great house but don't want to pay very much. So I've been very careful looking for something that will fit both criteria. It is hot here, that's for sure. But get out of the gulch sometimes, it depresses the hell out of me after a few days.
