RE: I tried to PM TheDude but it would not go through.

Message concerns TheDudes choice of hotels in CR for 1st trip.

Hey Dude, The Sportsman Lodge will be a good choice for you for your first trip to CR. You will be comfortable there.

Instead of the Tangeri Hotel in Jaco Beach, why don't you contact the Los 4 Grandes Hotel....which is right next to the Beatle Bar (where you will no doubt spend most of your nighttime hours - anyway - in Jaco).

Tangeri Hotel is down the street about 6-8 blocks from the Beatle Bar.

I stayed at the Los 4 Grandes Hotel last green season for $ 25.00 per night in a nice, clean, kingsized room, with remote A/C, hot water shower, and no extra chica fees. It is about 30 yards from the entrance of the Beatle Bar.
No pool, but a real great room for only $25.00- during the low season. High season rates are about $60-70.00 foir this same room.

I probably should not share this info. because they will probably be filled up (only about 10 rooms) for my next trip the 1st of June......but what the heck....there are other discounted hotels too in Jaco.

Los 4 Grandes Reservations: 505-643-2215

Steve :)

Stevewxly,

I was at Los 4 Grandes Hotel in Feb during SB week it was $50.00 a night and 20.00 extra for each chica after the first. It also had no hot water I thought it was a dump and left after the first night. I was fun watching all of the Chica waiting for a room to open when we had two for the night.

Dump is a nice word. Had a friend take a chica up there one night from the Beatle Bar and had a roach crawl across him. Can't think of a more depressing place to stay.

In Jaco, I like the Copacabana Hotel. It's got a great pool with a swim up bar and it's only a few yards from the beach. It has a CRT discount and it has good food. It actually has a couple of bars and is right down the road from the Beatle Bar. The rooms are also nice.

Stevewxly-
I don't know how you measure blocks in your neighborhood, but in mine the Tangeri is about a block and 1/2--for at least the last six years, and as recently as April-----unless they moved it on me.
