Post subject:  Dress code at Presidente AGAIN

This topic seems to have dropped off the radar screen, and I think it is pretty important to our members that have enjoyed staying there. What is the latest Admin.? Have you heard anything from the vacationing owner. Are they really going to continue being stuffy (best word I could think of) about how a chica needs to dress to go to the rooms or even the restaurant? Yesterday,as I was walking by,I watched a very appropriately dressed chica with her boyfriend denied entrance to the restaurant by the security guard standing at the hotel entrance. The ONLY part of her body showing was her navel. There wasn't more than a few inches of midrift visable. She even tried to stretch her top to cover everything but the material didn't stretch.I wonder if they are going to be able to fill the rooms with the ecotourists now that the Rainy Season is right around the corner.

Our group had no problems last Wed. or Sat. night (last night) whatsoever and most of us made more than one trip. Wile Coyote

Hey VB the topic has been fairly active with mixed reports lately, some guys have no problems and others are hassled- most posts in the sticky thread-

Too bad I already booked there for Labor Day. I would have rather stay at one of the other hotel than have to deal with an inconsistent dress code.

Well I guess its a good thing I will have my disposable lab coats to cover the chicas with.

Thanks Paco for the reference. I was in the States for the week whiile that thread was soaring and didn't read anything. I guess the bottom line
is that nothing has changed in the last couple of weeks at the Presidente. So I guess that the inconsistencies of the enforcement have turned off some from staying there, while others have decided to make the best of it. Ah the wonders of a free market economy. Choices...choices...choices It just seems funny to me that the upscale Ticos and their properly dressed wives and girlfriends will probably soon be boycotting the restaurant.

Hazel,

I'm not a veteran os SJ but I do believe that the Presidente will allow you to cancel your reservations , seems like I have read that somewhere. Can anyone back me up on that?

If your looking for another option that will allow more than one chica at a time , try the castillo, I had no problems with multiple chicas or dress code there.

Keep your Presidente reservation and get on the wait list for a few hotels you would prefer. If you get lucky and get a room in one of the other hotels then you can cancel your Presidente reservation.

Still have plenty of time to try to change hotels.

I have a reservation at the Prez for Labor Day, but I may be cancelling as there just may be too many schlongs walking around SJ that week. 8) I will make my decision after my Memorial Day trip. So, definitely get on the waiting list if your looking for a room.

Actually September is an extremely busy month for me, so I may postpone till October.

As others have already posted, you can cancel reservations at the Prez at least 3 days prior to your arrival.

YO Fellows:

I think you guys are worried too much about nothing. I'm surprised at the lack of ingenuity displayed here. With all the noise and banging I heard in L-Heat's and Paco's room last couple of trips one would think the hotel was letting just about anything in. I finally couldn't tolerate it anymore when I started hearing distinct "Baaaaa, Baaaaa sounds bellowing from the room. Could have sworn I heard hoof steps on the tile floors in the hall. City Slickers.....geezzz. Definitely disturbs my bed time by 9pm.

Sorry Circus, I didn't mean to be so loud with the chicas. :)

That noise you heard coming from Paco's room was probably his pet sheep, it always makes that sound when it hears a zipper going down.

The last sheep I was with in SJO was the inflatable one at Handy's bachelor party and she ran off with Scubabum.
Just as well, she probably couldn't get in the hotel anyway without a wool sweater.

I was thinking of cancelling, but I know everyplace else I would like to stay is booked solid.

I guess we will see if the Prez will have anything to say about a chica in a lab coat. It will also be a gas to see some of the hotels guest and personel's reaction when I unfold one and wrap a chica in it..

Hazel... I think a better idea than the labcoats would be to get ahold of the fake nun who collects money outside the DR and buy her nun's habit from her and have your chicas wear that into the Presidente.
