Air Transat flying directly no stops from Toronto to SJ during the high season only. No Canjet or Skyservice charters to SJ.

Air Canada flys daily to SJ non-stop from TO. Air Bus 319.
But the prices are brutal

Ive seen a few good prices on AC, from TO, but Its just as convenient for me to fly from Chicago, New York or Philly, so I take that route instead.

Man, if Canjet started flying down there I would cash in like crazy. My family flew westjet to St Martin, I didnt know they flew down there either?

Unreal. 50% of the total fare are various taxes and fees. If all countries adopt that stance low fares are gone forever. Taxes and fuel costs will drive the prices to astronomical levels.

Thats just because we have a 15% sales tax, Toronto/Pearson has a 30 or 35$ airport fee, and NAV Canada has some stupid 10$ fee.

Horray for Canada

That was exactly my point when I wrote:

Devo, I believe thats a direct charter flight. I'm sure Air Transat will end flights to SJ very soon with the high season closing. Then air canada can lap-up all that tourist cash.

Now the double hit is that I have to get to Toronto from Timmins which will run me another $350. taxes in. Or drive the 9 hr trek.

Competition is a good thing :D
