The past few days I've noticed on TRAVELOCITY that USAIRWAYS has been offering a flight to CR from Wash/Dulles for $413.00 total, roundtrip. That's $41.00 less than I booked this same flight for about 2 weeks ago. It's a good schedule, available quite aways in advance, with not many hours involved in the flight. One stop in Charlotte.

NOTE: It doesn't show up every time on TRAVELOCITY. One time you check, it's there.....the next time it isn't.

yes, and out of BWI is listed as $275 (plus tax)

sometimes I've seen them go as low as around $200 (plus tax)

I just keep checking, but, around $400 plus round trip out of the DC area airports may be the best we can expect.

I often use the link below, so far I'm waiting for travel dates to be extended for a Labor Day week trip. right now, dates are restricted to mid June travel dates.

Can you believe flights out of San Francisco are lower the Miami?

Californ,

Yes, I saw those cheap flights you mentioned, but I think the travel had to be complete by June 15. The USAIRWAYS flight I mentioned above was good through at least July.

yes, I think the flight/travel dates are restricted to mid June.

I'm trying to remember when I reserved my flight last year for the September anniversery party weekend.

I believe the late summer flight deals started showing up after mid May or early June, but I wouldn't be surprised to see prices stuck above $400 plus for travel out of the DC area.

Still, I guess we can live those prices, could be worse.
