Was given info that Holiday inn was a bad bet due to not being chica friendly and bad location for night walks. How about the hotel santo tomas? can anyone give me info on this? thanks for all your help guys!

I like the little restaurants across the street from the hotel and they have a good fitness center.. But I wouldn't want to be on that street at night(not that any is safe). If they are chica friendly and you take a cab at night it would probably be fine if it's in your price range. I don't know about their chica policies though. It seems to me it would be more predictible to stay at the Pres, Castillo, Sportmens Lodge, or even HDR.

The Holiday Inn is chica friendly or at least warm , but you pay a fee.
The location is in a no walk zone at night. It is a pricey fall back position in times of need.

The Hotel Santo Tomas is worse in all catagories. Unless you are strictly an eco tourist, avoid it like the plague. It is chica unfriendly and in a strict no walk zone at night. It is highly recommended by the tour books and Euros like it but it is not for the sportsman.

If the Presidente and Del Rey are full consider the Castillo. But it is in a no walk at night zone in my opinion.

Did you try the Del Rey?

Good choice. I still think that is the must do hotel for your virgin trip to paradise.

Good Luck

You won't regret it. I just hope you're not offended by dozens and dozens of chica's walking around, all hours of the day and night, with their t*ts hanging out, constantly grabbing your package and whispering sweet nothings in your ear. Quiero cien dólares durante una hora, Ohhhhh papi, muy rico, te amo.....! :P
