I've been coming to CR for 4 years and outside of my first 2 trips, I always stay at the Morazan. $49 incl tax in high season and 42 incl tax + brakfast in low season. I was just there 2 weeks ago for 8 days and my bill was 49 x 8. No chica fees.....

I am a CRT member, so does that entitle me to anything at the Presidente ??

I love the fact that the Morazan is adjacent to KL and a short block from the DR.

What does the Pres offer ???

Presidente lodgers speak up.....

Breakfast at the rail for free is a big plus.Never stayed at Morazon so no comparision but from most reports accomadations are nicer at Presidente.Studio rooms at Presidente are about same price as Morazon and very adequate full size bed and same size bathroom as regular rooms.rbc100

Presidente is MUCH nicer hotel. Sorry but Morazon is like a 70's disco.

You get free breakfast @ the rail, which is a great way to start off the day. Centrally located on Ave Central, and 1 block from the DR. Probably about the same distance as the Morazon.

Standard rooms are 51+ tax, and they also have studio, junior suites, spa suites and master suites

Yes, the Morazan is a cheesy 7-'s disco or trashy off strip vegas hotel form the same period.

That's why I asked this question, I'm coming again in 4 weeks and I haven't made my hotel, got my air $ 447 from DC to ATL to SJO on Delta.

Starting to lean toward the Pres....

Breakfast is included in that rat at the Prez. Also, no chica fee's,but you can only bring 1 girl back to the room at a time.

I enjoyed my stays at both Morazan and Presidente. I paid $42 at the Morazan for a std room with no breakfast and $49 (CRT discounted) per night for a std room at the Presidente with breakfast. Morazan is slightly closer to the BM and KL, but the Presidente has nicer accommodations. Although Morazan advertises a $5 chica fee, I never paid one. As previously stated, Presidente has no chica fee, but limits guests to one girl at a time.

If I were staying in the gulch, I would be willing to pay a few $ more and stay at the Presidente.

To heck with the presidente hotel. I have had it with this place. Trying to get a chica back in here is murder. Their dresses have to be down past their knee's and no midriff or tata's showing. The dress code sucks here (I am in CR at the moment). And this rule is strickly inforced.

The one thing that I have heard about the Morazan is that they call you when your chica/chicas leave. They ask you how everything went before they will let the chica's out of the hotel.

What is it?

The 'Rail" is the the front of the dining area where one may sit and enjoy a meal/drink and observe the pedestrian walkway activity...

Some of the pictures of the Presidente show the "rail" area....

if you get to visit San Jose, it is worth a trip to the Presidente for a drink/bite to eat even if you're not staying there...

The "problems" with reservations at the Morazan is the main reason many guys avoid staying there.

I've stayed there and it's fine for what you get. The one, level block walk from the Del Rey is indeed a plus as is it's close proximity to KL and Centerfolds.

That being said, I still prefer the Presidente for all the reasons listed above as well as the professional way they run it, especially the reservations, tour desk, paying exit tax, newly renovated rooms and quieter than the Morazan.

Ok.... as everyone has read the dress code at the Presidente pissed me off.

I have a question about the Morazan. Do they have wired/wireless interent so that you can use it in your rooms? That was the one thing that I did like. Being able to check on things without having to use a public computer.
