Bus would be the cheapest way.Best I recall express bus is 3 or 3 and a half hours for a few bucks less than $10 I feel sure.I still seems to me there should be limited action in Liberia but have never seen anything posted.rbc100

If it were a direct flight it could be a decent option. But you have to look at the arrival/departure times to see if it makes sense.. If it arrives in evening then you catch a bus to San Jose, did you kill a day? If on return it leaves early morning could you catch a bus or do you have to leave for Liberia the day before? Knowing Continental it connects through Houston so it could be a time consuming flight to start with. Like Delta does to Atlantans that catch the direct flight to San Jose, Continental is probably letting people on board cheap but hosing the people that get on in Houston. Clark Howard's site usually doesn't include taxes so that's probably a $400 seat once ticketed.

I was getting hosed a few weeks ago on price but found a $401 total direct on Delta by searching expedia after trying orbitz and a few others with no luck. It always pays to search every engine because they are different. It seems like the airlines give each engine a certain amount of cheap seats to sell or something so that you never know which search engine hasn't sold through theirs.

You can fly either Sansa or Nature Air for around $70-80. each way. It's only a 40 minute flight. I've done it many, many times. No Problems.
