Location: Where Am I ???
Un-Phucking-Believable !!!! I've spent most of the day trying to book a nice SUITE for my next trip (April 6-10) for some R & R with my favorita. It's the weekend before Easter, but it's the start of Semana Santa. After 5 hours and over a dozen calls, here's what I found:

The Master Suite at the Prez was booked.
The Penthouse Suite at the SL was booked.
The Executive Suite at the Radisson Europa was booked.
The Master Suite at the HDR was booked.
The Balmoral only had small rooms left.
The Best Western had no "smoking" rooms available.
The Holiday Inn only had small rooms available.
The Amon Plaza Hotel didn't answer their phone.
The woman at the Marriot Hotel was rude on the phone, so I didn't go any further.

I came very close to calling Circus, and seeing if I could rent a box from him for my 4-night stay in the Morazon Park!

After all was said and done, I finally got a Junior Suite at the SL (EL Rey) for the first 3 nights, and the Penthouse Suite for my final night.

I didn't try Casa Vino, or Club LaMansion because (frankly) I had forgotten about them.

Over a span of 14 trips, I've never had this kind of problem booking a room. It looks like Costa Rica, and all it has to offer, is no longer a secret!

Countdown...... T-minus 42 days and counting.....tick, tock, tick, tock......

I think it's largely because of much more mongers knowing about SJ and coming down. The beaches have not increased that much in traffic in the last 4-5 seasons, but the city has. As I mentioned in another post, 4-5 years ago, I could go to SJ from the beach and never make a reservation. Yes, the word is out.
