For those interested in Adventure tours that you can do from the local hotels in San Jose or elsewhere - these are the ones I thought were the best:

Rafting with Ríos Tropicales -

ATV tour - with Dutch guy (can't remember his name). A good time.

Jungle Toms Tortugeuro Tour - Tom's a good guy, he will go out of his way to make you happy.

Things I would not do again:
Don't go on overnight tours, you will find yourself in a remote place with little to do and go to bed at 9:00 pm without a tica or nica to be found.

Don't go to Corcovado - a complete rip off.
