Purchased a ticket on Sprit a few months ago for travel mid August. Received an email last week stating I won't have to pay the carry on fee because I bought my ticket before April 6. I hope this is on the topic of this thread

Spirit is under a lot of pressure because of this... They announced this in advance and are watching this closely to gauge the reaction. They have lowered some fares in May and it makes sense for anyone needing to travel to take advantage,,,they may back off if there is enough backlash...we will see
