It's been way to long since I've been back to San Jose but coming in the Fall. Sounds like it's going to be a tough choice between the Amistad and Castillo. I'm sure if Matt is involved, the Castillo will be great. I still tell people about his hospitality-he even drove me to Jaco and picked me up a few days later! Hope the Castillo goes inclusive.

Is there a room map for Castillo? I did a walk through a few months ago but can not recall any of the room numbers and sizes.

Sitting at the bar right now. Had a great lunch. Monica is a great addition to an already stellar staff.

All inclusive.

Monica is cute, vivacious, and likes girls. Which is okay, I do too.

I heard the little hottie Sara (works as night clerk at LA) is going to bartend at the Castillo. Excellent choice, Not only she is smoking hot but a true sweetheart.

Seriously, the solution to "wifi" (internet) in Costa Rica is an unlocked spare phone and a Kolbi / Claro / Movisrar SIM (I use Kolbi because they cover ALL of CR but Claro is faster and so is Movistar (but expensive!). I hotspotted my unlocked phone and was completely connected.

Do they still have the Kolbi and Claro booth in the airport?

Kitchen is up and running and so is the WiFi. Haven’t been around for breakfast but the food is top notch. The main chef is there now and the protege at la amistad but the food is killer both places

Kitchen and bar have been open since the last week in August 2017. WiFi since long before that (Spring 2017 sometime).

I put "2017" in there because someone will come along in 2018 and say...
