Just another example of Bill running a class operation at SL.

I have stayed at Sportsmans for a long time and sorry to say the WiFi was always a "challenge". Workable, but not solid.

I am happy to say that there was a huge upgrade in the networking/WiFi sysem at Sportsmans. The connection is solid and much faster than in the past.

I am not an expert, but I think Sportsmans invested in both the hardware and talent to install a first class networking/WiFi system throughout the hotel.

BS! Everyone knows wifi is available at the SL. When it's not, it's an issue. The business itself stated that IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE! They'll fix it.

SL is known as a place to hang out and watch sports on the tvs. It is geared towards tourists, who expect basic wifi service (which is available in most of the hotels in the downtown area). How many posts have complained about poor wifi service somewhere?

No one else other than True Sportsman needed to chime in on this thread. He said it'll be fixed, and I am sure the OP will give benefit of the doubt and try them when he's next in town.

When we dogpile on a simple complaint thread, all we do is look like a bunch of whining bitches.

Agree 100%

Last time I was there around Halloween the WiFi was down the entire time.

During that time my buddy and I consumed a dozen beers and double vodkas, a couple steak dinners, and breakfast on at least 2 occasions. Now that I know that "lack of internet" is a valid reason to complain about a business, I must insist that Bill refund all of my money as I now realize that my vacation was apparently ruined.

Who knew?

Wifi at SL was great for 3 nights around 8-10 time frame and I'd say roughly 20 girls in there on their phones

I have many customers in The Havana Humidor Room who stay at The Lodge. They all talk about how good it is to stay there. From where I sit, Bill is doing a good job in customer satisfaction.

stayed at SL many times over last 4 years and Bill is a great guy and I love the food and atmosphere
the bartenders are all great, but do to massive downtime wifi is important to me and also do have to do
work. Its been very bad there for years, people who stay there and do have a job do know this
and its been brought to the attention of the staff hundreds of times( bar staff, front desk)
its not great anywhere there but SL is a bigger problem than most others in area, ive stayed at them all

I've been at the SL now for 5 days, working several hours per day and using the WiFi constantly. It's better than its ever been in the 3 years I've been coming here. Haven't lost signal once and I think it's faster now too.
And to top it off, in typical SL fashion, Bill and Manfred both have asked me almost daily how the service is working.

I have been coming to CR since 2006 and stay at SL about 4 times a year. It would not hurt for Sportsmens to upgrade its computer equipment and access. The gym could also use some good cardio equipment.

I get plenty o cardio workouts when I visit CR, 2 to 3 poundings a day from frisky Latinas 20 to 30 years younger than me, plus it's great fun to walk all over downtown (in the daytime), you can also "dance" if you like that sort of thing at Key Largo late at night and pick up a girl for a late night or all night encounter.

I'm a gym rat and computer monger at home but have no interest in gyms (and minimal computer interaction) while in CR, I gots bigger fish to fry, usually natural D or plentiful C cups if I can finds em...but that's just me, each his own.... 8)
