What a mess! When you start paying for bartender drinks you really are screwed...they can charge you whatever they want. I've never really figured out why anyone would do this, unless you are planning to take them to your room...and are pretty sure this will actually happen, later. Pay for drinks for the chicas on your side of the counter...those are the targets of your "affection".
And why do bar/hotel managers (perhaps Bill can answer this one) allow their employees, the bartenders, who are manning the transactions, drink alcohol, and many times get drunk, while performing their duties. I've seen plenty of this in CR....HDR, SL, and others but not @ Cocal though.
I might be to square, but if it was my business, and I've owned my own business (not a bar), I would not allow my employees to consume alcohol during their shift....unless, of course, it is a ruse to rip off the customers
