By no CRT card in the bar do you mean for the chica discount? I never used it on food or drinks there, didn't know you could.

Yes, HLH for years gave a 10% drink and food discount w/ the CRT card

Read the post, 'wub - no more CRT discount for drinks, still accepted for the "rooms" <and girls> they lowerd the drink prices to compensate for not accepting the CRT card in the bar for drinks

So again......"No more CRT card in the bar - take a deep breath - in the bar; still accepted for all else" - which means the "rooms" b/c that's what you are buying there, a room - anything else would be "pimping" and we all know that's against the law in CR   :P

To be more clear, as a CRT paid VIP, you still get the discount for the girls, and I believe for the hotel rooms :)

Scuba1 I was confused because I showed my card there once when ordering food and was told only for the girls not food or drink, that was back in march if I recall. Never thought much of it just figured how it was. I only ever used it on food or drink at sportsmens.

Now, that is the correct info - in March (heck, I was there in April myself) no - but it was only 10% so not a huge deal :)

PS who ever told you that in March was "misinformed"

they lowered drink prices, but if you are a drinker, plenty of cheaper places to drink than HLH

No more 2 for 1 . Drink prices have been lowered. I don't know how much lower. Somebody else will know.

Correct no more happy hour. They say they lowered the drink prices, but for wine they are the same. I think I heard beer is 1200 instead of 1500. Some of the best food in town , hands down.

I'd rather pay 1500 for a beer and know I could get 2 for 1 durring happy hour. Overall not that big of a deal to me either way, but the happy hours were the only times I ever saw the place full of people ordering food, drinks, and pu*sy. I would think the 2 for 1 drawing everyone in would mean more profit in the long run, I have never ran a bar though.

I suspect the new management is "finding its way", trying new things, and if they see a fall off in business, the Happy Hour pricing will return - just MHO - you don't need higher math to see 2 beers @ 1500c <750c each> was a much better deal than 2 @ 1300c each - plus you brought lots of guys in, likely generated business for the girls (which the house gets a significant cut), food business, guys wondering if just maybe they should stay there, etc - so the ripple effect was significant -

I'm not a huge drinker, but maybe they could have considered a shorter Happy Hour - will not personally effect me b/c 95% of my time at HLH is spent in the cigar room smoking  :)

It would be wise to replace Happy Hour with some sort of incentive to fill the place up at certain times. We all like (at least most of us) a lively party atmosphere where everyone is laughing and having a good time and those times result in more business for the girls and for the bar. That's why so many bars do have a happy hour.

Definitely call if you believe you have a reservation. I emailed them and got no answer in two days. I had made reservations three months ago and because of this thread I decided to check on them. Today I picked up the phone and called. They had no reservation for me. They straightened it out for me in no time. Had I not called I would not have had a room. Do not rely on email for the time being.

I just e-mailed to check on my reservation next week and got a response right back that everything was good. I e-mailed again about a tour and got a response within an hour. Hopefully, everything will be fine.
