I was talking about presidente. That is where i allways stay.
now i have second thoughts about going there , i plan to go soon.
how is free bird ?
may be sleep inn is the only alternative . i know the guest fee is 25 (high).
not sure what to do .

Lots of alternatives - you mentioned one, the Freebird (although not my choice b/c I enjoy cigars, and that place bans them) - there is the Morazan, Sportsmans, Amon, HLH, Dunn Inn (yuck) and a host of others; check the CRT sponsors - but by all means, boycott the Prez.

I like presidente too. But with all their policies , probably not suited any more.
May be crt should work with sleep inn , to reduce the guest fee.

Great idea; its a nice place, and you can't beat the location - but I suspect ADMIN 1 has spoken with them probably more than once over the years re sponsorshop/discounts, etc (he can confirm if he so chooses ) and for whatever reason, the hotel does not want the cliental the hobby brings - or perhaps they are making enough money - or the hotel is there solely to comply w/ the casino law - or maybe he sees SOME of the guys that come down and says no way I want to encourage those assholes.

I would be curious - but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for the answer.

furthur update from presidente.
Let us to provided you the policies to avoid any inconvenient

1. Absolute prohibition of minors to enter the Guestroom areas without their parents (prove may be requested), regardless of their gender. A minor is a person under the age of 18.

2. That only one adult visitor per guestroom is allowed at a time, regardless of age, gender, religion, race or profession. Every visitor must have a valid picture ID and must be registered in our database. We reserve the right of admission and service.

3. Soliciting of any kind is prohibited in Hotel, Casino or Restaurant areas.

4. We request that all visitors and guests, regardless of age, gender, religion, race or profession, be dressed tastefully and appropriately. We understand that this is a subjective issue, and hence must inform our guests that the final decision will be made by our On-duty Manager. As a rule of thumb we request that our guests and visitors wear shoes, shirts and bottoms at all time while in public areas, avoid miniskirts or short shorts, clothing with racist or otherwise insulting motives and overly revealing tops. The use of coats is permitted, but must be used at all time while entering, exiting or staying in the Hotel public areas.
We request that our guests refrain from causing excessive noise while in their guest room and/or public areas.

5. Illegal drugs and other unlawful or disrespectful behaviors are strictly prohibited in all areas of the Hotel, including guestrooms. This includes public

According to Baracuda Man, he talked to a manager who told him they allow one guest PER STAY, not per night/at a time. She also said "This is not a hotel for prostitutes. This is a family hotel. Our policy changed about 10 months ago."

If you choose not to believe that, go ahead and book anyway.

I believe Baracuda Man got the straight story on this, the policy Now in place is design to keep the mongers away. A one on one explanation is likely to be more acturate.
This policy makes more sense for the hotel. This eliminates the guy who brings one back for an early afternooner, then one later at night. Keeps the traffic down.

6 month is an eon ago in the ever changing mongering world of Costa Rica. In October BK Tuna was working his butt off to make the "Done In" a CRT place, the HLH was going no where and the Clarion was open for business. None of that holds true today.

Has been pretty much confirmed that the Presidente policy is now no working girls allowed.

So what.....its May, and the policy has changed - don't get the point of your post - I paid $50/night at the Morazan last October; today its $55 - again, so what :?:

Have at it if you want to stay there in the face of overwhelming evidence, just be prepared. Some guys just have to touch the hot stove to know it burns.

I'm arriving at the Prez on Sunday. My MO is to bring my favorita to the room and visit the MP's at other times. Am thinking about checking with the concierge as to whether they will let her in on Sunday afternoon. If not, I I'll just register us both. (I've known her for 4.5 years, so there's a great degree of trust.) Think that'll work?

That's what I did last time and it was no problem. However, now that I don't have a favorite I must move on.
It's still hard for me to believe the change because I was certainly not the only monger there by any means.

Definite change in the chica policy. Was in SJ May 12-16. Of the 7 of us, 6 stayed at Prez and I stayed at LA. I learned my lesson 2 years ago when I got turned away at the front desk and have never been back. But these guys love the Prez and had managed to work around the previous policy by selecting chicas that were dressed appropriately and asking them if they could get into the Prez.

One of the guys also called the General Manager in April to make sure that there had not been a change to their chica policy and was told that there had been NO change.

On first night in town, 5 of the 6 guys got turned away at the front desk. The next day they checked out and went to Sleep Inn.

The 2 times I walked past the News Cafe this trip, the place was dead. Guess they figure they can live without our business.

Trim,
Thanks for the report. That continues to support the other stories that they will not tell you the truth.

long time customer of presidente.
i am confirming , that the guest policy got very strict .
they basically black listed any girl who works at del rey.
so girls are not interested in coming there at all.
so this is not an option even with aprropriate dress.
i am considering sleep inn.
bye
