Everybody brings something different to the table, so I agree the SL and Dunn will complement each other. I am looking forward to playing with honest blackjack dealers. It seemed like the policy is to short gringos in the SJ place I usually play. Having played blackjack in NV, here and other USA places, I like being able to relax and enjoy the game and not have an eagle eye on my payouts. With the SL, Dunn and HLH I'm getting dizzy...I picture myself as a human pinball bouncing between all three.

How do you get shorted in BJ? It's 1:1 or 1.5:1, doesn't take a math wiz. I can see it being an issue in craps where there is a lot of math involved (7:6, 9:5, etc, etc).

If you see them cheating you, call them out on it and if it happens a second time, ask for a manager.

From what I've observed, guys don't like being short changed. We might sit down and drop some cash at a table, on a bar-tab or a tip, but when they try to add crap to our bill or short change us, It usually ruffles our feathers quite well.

Consistency is also a BIG factor. We seem to like to know the product, service and price are going to be the same each time.

What about match play coupons? You can get and use a $25 match play once each day at the Horshoe and I think VB mentioned there is a similar deal at the Colonial.

I wish the Dunn Inn the best . I want to know where the 3rd string of girls will be coming from. The Del Rey girls will not be there. If you split the Sportsman girls well you have 10 at each place. If Big John finds one of his girls at The Dunn they will not be allowed at The Del Rey for 30 days. As I said good luck to the Dunn Inn but I see the bad side of a business deal and the good side . In this case to me as an honest view well it remains to be played out. I will give them some business just as I gave Rico's but my and the other CRT business will not be enough. You need to hit the type of guy the Del Rey gets the first time CR visitor who dumps money not the CRT who watches every dime . I say good luck and the first 6 months are no indication of a future . Usually a new business starts off with a bang and then levels out. I hope they built it on savings and not borrowed money.

An interesting speculation, although we know the HDR has a history of not liking nearby competition working women are independents and hardly "his girls". Besides that, hard to imagine him wasting time on petty things like trying to monitor which women go where in SJ.

We have a full plan in place to recruit top notch talent. We believe that many HDR girls would love another place to go at night. We have built a very nice place with all the amenities that guys want. The key element is a critical mass of girls and guys. We are not just building it and hoping that they will come. We intend to hit the ground running, not gradually build up. It is still a little early for me to discuss the full marketing plan.

so seriously/ realistically, when will the Dunn be Dunn and open for business as this new venue?

How do I get shorted? Well, one poster alluded to it. You split a hand, you split again, you double down on 2 of them, etc. Then I win every hand. After a while, I lose track of what the chips are, how much I should be getting back, distracted by chicas, and on and on. And the BJ dealer is moving fast. I am not in CR enough so the colones value are second nature. I had a local sitting at a table with me and saw how the dealer shorted me on a big pot and called him on it. So I guess if I played there every day, it would not be an issue. Indeed I need to own up to the fact that if I am playing for money, I should watch out. It's my responsibility. But hey I just wanna have fun.

We are shooting for mid November, the construction is almost finished and we are waiting on machines, furniture, bar equipment etc. Obviosly there can be delays. The four new rooms are opening in the next week or so and the new kitchen should be complete by Nov 1.

Please feel free to drop by for a tour when you are in town. I have shown the new lounge to about 700 CRT guys already and the reception so far is very good.

BK..... Good luck with the whole project. I'm sure I will check it out when it is ready. I've been known to play a little blackjack,rummy and poker. Just a few comments on what has been posted. Dealer hitting soft 17 is a DISADVANTAGE to the player. The issue of the dealers cheating the players is not even an issue "unless the house is in on it. (almost NEVER happens) Why else would a dealer cheat when he/she doesn't get to keep the money he takes. There is one BIG reason why Casinos don't cheat..... They don't NEED to. There have been some other comments in this thread that aren't feasable for the Casino,but I don't want to take up too much bandwith here.
