Wut? :?

I do have to concede its tough to write what my point/inquiry is and it be completely understood..

My question more derives from a convenience stand point. How would it change your outlook/style on CR knowing its such a short flight away..

Any lights go on? :|

I equated short flight with "much cheaper" and illustrated why I have a greater sense of urgency to "get to it" so to speak

Hence my style is different than a SoFla guy that can visit 3-4 times to my 1 and would have greater patience.

Still say that if I lived in SoFla, MDE would be my choice of destination

If I lived 3 hrs away, I'd probably visit a bit more (weekly versus 10 days). I don't know if I would change much as far as mongering technique or outlook. As much as I like the chicas and what they provide, I also like the time away from work, meeting other CRTers, and partying.

Simpler, they may just want men to think they are as perfect as they want to appear to them, trying to hide what they consider to be the ugly truth about themselves. And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

I was flying back and fourth every week in 2007. I bought the tickets months in advance so my average ticket price was $300 Atl to Sjo.

THEN one day, I went to check in and I didn't have a ticket purchased for that week. I was at the first class counter and it was 59 minutes before the flight. One first class ticket without advance purchase $1749 !

Answer to PM : I usually did not buy first class tickets. I was flying frequently so I achieved Delta "medallion" status and started getting bumped automatically to first class. When I went to check in at the first class counter, I was notified I had not ticket purchased for that week.

The lady was being a real bitch. Thinking back, I could have probably purchased a regular seat for about $400 to $800 last minute. I was thinking because I was checking in at the first class counter, she would only sell me a first class ticket and I was about to miss the flight.

I don't remember exactly the highest but I know I've never paid more than $400 either. I wouldn't have even had to pay that much if I lived in a more major hub like MIA or even ORL. My last trip from TPA was about $335 and that was painful enough. I've paid for tickets to EZE (Rio) that were not much more than that and less than $1K for a ticket half way around the world to BKK (Bangkok). My lowest ever from TPA to SJO was about $160. Of course, I also don't travel to CR every single month like many of you. If the airfares are too high I'll just wait a month or two or until a later time when the fares become more reasonable or else I'll go somewhere else where the fares are more reasonable if I can find one.

I always try to hook in personal trips into work trips..

In the case of my next SJO visit

ATl-SJO
SJO-IAD
IAD-ATL

Just under $450... No complaints here are rarely raises any red flags...

but,.from ATL...for me, sometimes it's just as easy to setup a business trip on MCO or FLL. Then I can usually find a round-trip under $300..

What's the best days of the week to travel?

I'm in Houston and the best deal I've found so far is just under $500 for roundtrip.

I find it amazing that flying from Houston can be that much, and if I fly from Newark THROUGH Houston it costs me less than $300.

Because of my larger expenses, I tend to put pressure on myself to get maximum enjoyment (pops) and once that happens bad decisions aren't far behind.

I enjoy staying at HLH because of this, the in house talent at cheap rates gives me the opportunity to get in the first couple pops and help calm me down so that when a borderline chica approaches me at SL, I have the self control to take a pass

If I came (to visit) more often, I would spend more time with the CRT guys that live there, I would probably develop some SJO relations with chicas (as I have done in MDE) and I would probably hump a little less yet experience an increase in quality or satisfaction.

I've been able to control the urge to overpay when I see something I like, but I am guilty of accepting 2nd tier quality because they didn't lead with "cien" I think that would be different with more frequent visits when I can simply re-direct the fuglies to J0sie's penthouse (because that's how he rolls!)

I don't know why it cost that much flying from Houston. I tried Expedia and Travelocity and both have similar prices. One would think Houston is a big hub for travel to Central America.

I almost always pay about $300 from ORD to SJO r/t one stop. If I waited I know I could do a bit better, but since I want certain times as soon as I find them at about $300 I take it.

The challenge is when I go to the DR which is the same distance from ORD as CR, but flights are often twice as much. Then I wait and can sometimes find fllights for about 1/3 less, with my preferred times, than the one that first came up.
