I just became aware the The Presidente has now been added to Travelocity as a hotel option when booking your combined airline and hotel arrangments. Don't ever recall seeing that in the recent past. Guess you can expect to see many, many more Eco-Tourists and Tree Huggers staying there....fat gringas as well I suspect the chica friendliness factor will inturn continue to decrease.

I noticed early this year Presidente is quite popular on Expedia, Travelocity and Trip Advisor along with other travel sites. It seems it's fast becoming a recommended and popular downtown non-sex tourist hotel.

Say what you like, if they did not want our business, they would not give us a discount. We stay there cheaper than anyone else. If they didn't want us, there would be no discount and a chica fee. THey want us to keep comming, just use some good judgement. I love the Presidente. The location is the best, the rooms are clean and the staff is great. Never had an issue bringing anyone back in 3 years. If you are worried about a girl in a mini skirt, tell them and they will change clothes with a friend in the BM bathroom.

I have a quick, maybe un-related question about the Presidente. They have a big Spa Suite with 2 bedrooms, gig "party" size spa, etc. I may go and stay there with a buddy so we can bring back several girls apiece, but I understand that this may not be possible now. Any ideas on this, or ideas of other hotels that also have in-suite spas?

I have stayed in the "Master Suite"...it is a very nice place with two bedrooms and a large jetted tub (could hold 10 people). The believe you can only bring in one girl person. Not sure if you register one as a guest if you can bring another up as a visitor.

The suite is a good option for two guys to share. Really is a waste for one guy but the chicas will like it.

I just spend January2-9 at the Prez, and only had one problem one night. Unfortunately it was the first night. I walked up security and got the look, 2k colones later and I was on my way. Got to the desk and 2k colones no problem. Five minutes later I was in heaven. Have we forgotten what makes the world go round, MONEY. When in doubt, tip, tip, tip. I had no other problems for the rest of the week, besides body aches.

Just return from San Jose. and staying at the Presidente. The personel at the hotel are awesome and very friendly. The hotel are clean very nice decorate with all the amenities. We have the Spa Room Suite in which the girls enjoy it. Most of the girls at Del Rey are aware of the dress code.

Make sure that when you pick a girl at Del Rey, they are wearing a decent clothing. And if the have a sweater or jacket, they shouldn't have any challenge. Always remember only 1 girl at the time and you could bring as many as possible and don't need to pay extra. like you do if you are staying at Del Rey.

Their hotel rate are very comparable with other hotels
