VIP membership is certainly valuable and helps support this site. However, it is not necessary to be a VIP to get the CRT discount at the Presidente. You must be a member but not necessarily a VIP member.

If you are a VIP the Presidente will give you a News Café ball cap and key chain when you stop bye the reservations office.

Wow... this is a great place to stay. I only have a normal room with a king size bed and shower. Very clean.... no hassle with a guest.... great breakfast. I liked the touch of the bed turn down service when I came back from dinner.

Internet service doesn't work in the rooms? Everyone with a laptop has been coming to the lobby to log on and surf. Two additional computers for general use...one of which I'm sitting at now.

Only thing...bring a wash cloth! Stay on the higher floors if possible. Thursday night was a little noisy in the halls. The tile floors and the chicas high healed shoes add to the level.

If you stay here.... easy when closing your door at night.... slamming door echo......

I have no idea why people are going to the lobby to use the Internet.. as I am using it from my room as I type with no issues. I also had to change rooms as this was last minute & the Internet worked there too... Just browse the wireless signals and choose the strongest one... No issues here.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the Presidente, it might be helpful to add that this hotel entertains many "straight" (i.e. non-monger) guests.

I met a nice couple in their late 50's who were visiting Costa Rica for medical treatment and who were staying at the Presidente. They seemed more amused than offended at the large number of tastelessly-dressed chicas coming and going. The wife was particularly amused; perhaps her mirth came from the fact that she had hubby on a short leash?

As a business-class hotel, the Presidente attracts business travelers, families on their way to or from eco-tourism adventures etc.

I was glad to see the hobbyists in the Presidente behaving as gentlemen and not getting stupid in the cafe, hallways etc.

The accomadations and staff at the Hotel Presidente are wonderful! First class all the way! I really enjoyed the extra touch of fulling the ice bucket and turning down the beds around 6:00pm.

Cool A/C (Chicas may not like it as cool as us Gringos); hot showers with dual showerheads and plenty of room for two; English and Spanish TV stations. Wireless Internet in the room (make sure you have a "G" connection or else you will only be able to connect in the lobby).

Breakfast is good! Remember they also make your eggs to order just around the corner from the bar! I learned this a couple days into the trip!

The news cafe' has a great selection of foods and deserts. The Skybox is a good place to get a late snack before truning in or heading out for the late night run to the Del Rey.

No Chica fees! Is you are having an overnight guess make sure to have them register as a "guess" not a vistor. They will also get the free breakfast at no additional cost. If you only register them as a visitor you will be charged for the extra breakfast! No guest show up on the bill!

I will most certainly stay again!

Why are you so obsessed with the porn thing anyway? Son, unless you are unable to enjoy the chicas without a porn TV I am confused. Not knocking porn but the Pres is a class place and that is not one of their amenities due to the business and family patrons that frequent there. I might suggest a few of the internet cafes within a block that have access to all sorts of sex sites.....just hit the history arrow and walla.

I would not do this for just anybody but if you go to one.....key in "Circus does dallas cheerleaders.com" Okay, it's about 30 years old but some of my best work. Hope this helps.
