Gentlemen,

I cannot speak for the other hotels mentioned in this post, however I can for Sportsmens Lodge.

We have a minimum 5 security guards on duty at night between 6PM and 6AM. Plus a minimum 2 security guards in the daytime hours. We have 48 security cameras running 24 hours a day throughout the entire Sportsmens Lodge Hotel. We do not skimp on security and never will! We protect our paying guests.

Thanks,
Bill
Sportsmens Lodge

That's exactly the info I was looking. It's encouraging. But I'm also wondering, does SL use keypad door locks for guest rooms?

Nine out of ten visitors to Costa Rica report feeling safe and secure throughout their visit, Number 10 was never heard from again.

The security has to be right, or they would not attract any customers.

No, SL doesn’t use keypad doorlocks for guest rooms. The locks use a key.

That's why I like the cheap Courtyard rooms. In addition to the cameras and security, the bartenders and patrons keep an eye on everyone entering and exiting your room.

Costa Rica is statistically much safer than the USA. I don't know why the issue of security comes up so often. I guess it is just ignorance.

No particular fan of the USA, but really? What stats are you referring to?

Numbers that I found for murders... CR 11.4/100 K, USA 6.81/100 K, Canada 2.07/100 K.

I could not find numbers for other crimes, as there were no stats that I found that were comparing apples to apples. Anyway, for murders CR is almost twice that of the USA, which is over 3 times higher than Canada. As for mass murders...no one can beat the USA.

It is really insane in the USA.

What was going through that man's mind in Maine?

Living in sex prison without legal p4p all your life not knowing other options and limited means not good for any man but don't take it out on others. Instead go get some p4p anywhere outside USA.

Interesting that he killed mostly men. Maybe trying to thin down the competition or he a man lover jilted by another man?

Another weird sicko.

Nobody takes the security of their guests more seriously than the SL. The phisher is angling for reasons NOT to come. If his biggest worry is the safe or room key, he should stay home with Pornhub and a bottle of Jergens. Plus, he can forget about HIV and just worry about carpal tunnel.

Been staying at Castillo for many years. The electronic gate is more than adequate. Bar closes at 11 so any late night noise is unusual.

I had stay at sportsmen”s for many years. Security is last thing I worry about. My friend and I was down in hotel Taormina he pick up a tica for some party. when he got back to sportsmen he found out that she was blackballed. He was so happy. She had an acute took some money in the room.
