I'm reviving an old thread, since didn't want to start a new one for simple question:

Is it generally acceptable to walk that one block from Sportsman to a room you're staying at in La Amistad? If it's a "long" block, I wouldn't think it would be kind to ask her to walk it.\\

Or just play it safe and get a taxi...

Every chica i have met at SL and took to LA had no problem walking, even in the rain...grab an umbrella if its threatening....its only about 200 yards, slightly uphill

- It's literally about a 2 minute walk (maybe less - never timed it).
- Every one of those chicas have made that walk many times and some several times a day/night - in heels!
- There is hardly any pedestrian or vehicle traffic on that block, and even if there is someone walking past you, no one will look twice at a gringo and a chica.

Thanks guys. I think I'll rely more on Sportsman for chicas on this short trip then, and just a single visit to DR for the visual experience ( don't mind paying for taxi, but heard that some chicas will include travel time in their hourly which I wouldn't blame them for )

Choosing the SL for that reason is going to lead to disappointment.

The SL is okay. The breakfast is marginal compared to either the Taormina or the all inclusive at the LA. The food is decent bar food (LA has spoiled me and mi novia always has new restaurants she wants to try).

The available talent at the SL not consistent. The girls are independents. Sometimes they aren't there. Sometimes there's nothing worth doing. And often they are not "competitive" price-wise.

To me, staying there and not venturing out is like people who go to Vegas and stay at the Mandalay Bay resort - never leaving. It's like CR with training wheels. Or a CR tricycle.

By all means enjoy your stay, but when you are looking at an empty bar or a bar full of 4s, remember there are other options.

From the HDR to the SL / HLH / ZII/ Taormina / Castillo / LA is 5 minutes.

Never had a girl balk at it or demand more money. Now if you want her to go to Alajuela...

I'm staying at L.A. actually.. but just trying to assess the logistics of transportation of chicas to my rom there, between Sportsman and D.R... but since you never had a demand for more cash for a taxi ride ( in your following message ), i'll treat DR higher on the destination

I can't believe an oldtimer would post sarcasm regarding a newbie's question.

nah, it's all good.. probably means that chicas might push for more dinero, if it is in fact raining ( which it will be unfortunately, when I'm there this weekend )

They should not and have not and do not ask for more money to leave SL or DR,Rain or Shine, at least in my experience. When you meet a chica you are interested in, just mention you are staying at LA and they usually smile and say ok, no problem. If they do ask for more money, then move along to the next chica because i have never had that happen, at least in direct correlation. Now if you are staying 20-30 min away, this would be a different scenario.

probably more about traction
if its raining the streets get slippery and if things get sideways your new gf is going to leave you behind
those trannies wear heels but they never miss an easy mark
be careful and buy a new pair of kicks

I think we're talking about the 100m or so from the front door of the Sportsmens to the front door of La Amistad.

I've done it many a time - its a very short, pleasant walk.

Might take some people longer and some people might walk faster.

MM# I believe you said

From the HDR to the SL / HLH / ZII/ Taormina / Castillo / LA is 5 minutes.

I have stayed at both and from the SL to the LA is about 5 minutes .It's a lot easier from the LA to the SL
