I have a question about Sportsmens. The bar closes at Midnight, but if you bring a chica back and don't want to rush her into the room, is it ok to bring a bottle and sit at the bar? This will be my first time staying there and just wondered if its possible? I don't know whats going on in the bar area after midnight.

bar lights are out and it would be better to take her into your room and pour a drink
i mean you did have intentions when you brought her back right?
but if you want to sit in the dark i don't think security will chase you off fwiw

With all the positives relative to the SL, the one reason I will not return there is that on both prior visits on at least one night a group of drunks came back to the bar area after midnight closing and partied for two hours, hooting and shouting the whole time and making sleep impossible for me. Even when I had one of the rooms back behind the bar area the noise was overwhelming. I kept waiting for security to do something but nope, no one cared. If I had had a gun I would have gone out and shot all of those drunk jerks.
So that is my two cents about using the bar area after hours. I can be very disturbing to those sleeping.

It's probably a little bit of both. At most hotels the guests are anonymous to one another for their entire stay. I've only stayed at SL once with another future stay planned, but it reminds me of the fictitious bar Cheers in Boston. Everybody knows your name.

I would certainly agree with Ninetyniner in that there are limits to how much noise is acceptable, even in a fraternity house.

Also if your airline doesn't include the departure tax you can pay it al SL. I liked the clubhouse area. Stayed in Fiesta and Alegria.

Rather stay at La Amistad with all inclusive food and drinks. Food is wonderful. Right around the corner from SL. Mona Lisa is ok but there has been problems with theft from the room safes.

You can save money staying at Amistad or ML and spend it on the chicas instead. They are all close to each other. You can still hang and eat/drink at SL.

I saw the rooms right at the bar area and they're just too close to the action. Your bed is about 12 feet from the action or noise.
