Always call confirmation# is givem to you over phone when you book room.Tried email once never again.

For my second trip to Jaco/Cocal, I called about 3 weeks ago and made a reservation over the phone. Received my confirmation number during the phone call. I asked for a email confirmation. Took 3-4 days, but I did receive the email confirmation.

Remember, starting Dec. 1, the rates at Hotel Cocal go up significantly due to start of "Dry Season".

I am having the same problem trying to reserve via email. I am trying to get 3 rooms in January, does anyone still have their # written down? Thank you

Whoops my mistake I meant to post forthe Cadillac Rock in Jaco. My mistake. My cheap ass doesent want to pay the high season rates for Cocal.

I'm a little stunned to find this thread. I had the same problem last visit. Thought about going to Jaco and decided would if I could get room at Cocal. They never answered. What kind of crappy business operates like that?

Does anyone know, besides the CRT Discount, if the Cocal offers other discounts (i.e paying the bill in cash etc). They want to charge me during high season $180 a room- oceanfront ($162 I guess with the 10% CRT discount)? I plan on staying 5 nights.

Admin, I just received this email from the Hotel Cocal, please advise:


"I’m not sure why, but a lot of crt members ask for a discount, but we have never had this agreement or offered this.

We are a legal hotel, and our cash rate and credit rate are the same for tax reasons."

I agree, it was a strange message. I forwarded your information to our contact in the hotel office, and hopefully we will have this straightened out.

Folks, Admin 3 is working diligently to clear this all up!

That's strange...... as when I was there in August, I made my reservation over the phone and they acknowledged the 10% CRT discount. My email confirmation also showed the CRT 10% discount and that is what I paid .... $81 per night.

My upcoming reservation for end of November, again they acknowledged the CRT 10% discount over the phone and when I received my email confirmation, it also shows the CRT 10% discount or $81 rate per night.

I have the email confirmation printed and will bring with just in case.

Admin 3 is waiting to get clarification from his Cocal Contacts this week. They were not there over the weekend.

Since this issue has not been resolved in a reasonable amount of time, I made other arrangements.
