Yeah, it didn't work for me either, but if you go to the continental site, then click on Deals and offers, then click on OnePass news and offers, and it should be listed there

That's only 12,500 miles with double points. That's doable. 2 trips to costa rica will give you 20k, then take a trip somewhere else. Also, look at alternate hubs for your flights.. if you're flying out west, fly through newark.

He said he wanted to jump from Silver to Platinum, which is a 50k difference. So he still needs to fly 25k miles under the DEQM Promo.

According to the guys over at FlyerTalk, it should be retroactive. It takes a week for the double miles to post so just give it a bit more time.

I'm trying to make status by doing Mileage Runs from PHL to SEA, connecting in IAH. After DEQM, it's like 12,792 miles. I've found it for around $260, and you can be back and forth in less than 24 hours time. Four of those and you can hit your Plat status!

Or you can always make 4 trips EWR-SJO connecting in IAH. lol

i dont kno if i have the energy to do that..

I just flew a few days ago.. haven't yet seen the milage posted, so we'll see.

UPDATE:

Well, my milage posted and it was only 1x. Perhaps the 2x gets posted later. I don't know. I sent an email to them to see.

Although that is correct, that posting takes 1-2 weeks, any upgrade in status becomes effective immediately upon earning the miles. For example, if double miles give you silver status on your way to SJO, you become eligible for a free upgrade on the way home. However, just to make sure, you may want to call CO and tweak the CSR beforehand.

Yes, but that's only if your 1x miles earn you the elite status. If you need the 2x to get there, you have to wait for those to post.

Great. It's already too easy to make elite status...now it's going to be even easier. What is the benefit of having elite status if everybody is elite?

I think they should change the qualification to 75k for silver, 100k for gold and 150k for platinum. And maybe bring back the International Elite level for 200k.
