I do know a chica that frequents the Copa and probably by what she does has lots of friends. Have no idea of her prices. If there is ever a group of guys there, let me know and I will pm her. Maybe she will bring a few friends along. Disclaimer for the nimrods: just sending a pm, I don´t know her that well or get any favors. Nor do I want any... Ahhh That just took the fun out of someone reposting for the millioneth time their interpretation of pimping.. 8)

Thanks Planenutz

What is the best method getting to Jaco. Budget is not an issue I just want to get there quickly and not on a bus full of chickens.

Sorry, no place in Costa Rica meets your criteria. You're going to have to compromise on something.

IMHO I thought jacó was a fun place to visit. The appeal of jacó was high in my mind because it has nice waves in close proximity to SJO. I think the nightlife can be fun too. There was a happy hour at the sushi joint on the second level of a plaza that had nice crowd, ages 20-40, hot ticas and foreigners, mainly non-p4p. On Saturday nights there is a bar/dance spot right on the beach that many locals urged me to go to. Forgot the name of that spot too (there was a pool table on the first floor of this converted restaurant if that rings a bell for anyone). There were a couple pro's in there but mainly a non pro scene...reminded me a lot of home actually (Santa Monica, ca) in it's beach/surf/lay back atmosphere in those 2 spots.

At the other end of the spectrum there is beetle bar and one other that I can't remember the name of. They are filled with pros and most will go home with you for a price. If you're strictly after the p4p in costa rica then sjo is your best bet based on sheer numbers and options. However, jacó should appeal to many because you have the beach instead of the concrete jungle of the capital (albeit the water isn't very kosher). The nicer beaches around CR have fewer girls than jacó leading many CRT veterans to bring their own chica with them. So there is a give and take with jacó. The fact that there is a fun non pro scene and a relatively decent pro scene, a beach,a casino, and great waves (playa hermosa) makes it ideal for me ymmv...

Playa hermosa is just down the road from jacó, it's a little more secluded, serine, and it has a much slower pace. It's nice to stay there and drive/cab it to jacó for female acquisitions, nicer meals, casino affairs, or just simply to enjoy the nightlife.

Just returned from my second trip to Costa Rica. Since fishing is my "official" reason for visiting CR a trip to Jaco is a must. And to be honest, even if I didn't have a S.O. to answer to I still would break up my trip by heading out to the ocean. A couple of days of the concrete jungle (SJO) is more than enough for me.
Stayed at the Hotel/Casino Cocal this trip after staying at the Copacabana last time. Cocal much better. Even booked the fishing thru them and they turned us on to a great charter captain. Caught a trophy rooster fish this trip.
Nice flow of ladies hang out at the pool bar so that you dont even have to go to Beatle bar if you dont want to. Also they've got some sweet condo units that they rent by the night that are very affordable.
Tprime, as far as chica prices its about the same as Del Rey--they all seem to start at the cien.
To sum up Jaco: good to very good P4P, ocean location w/great fishing, decent poker rooms-- everything I could ask for!

Agree with the Cocal, had some friends there a month or so back. Glad you had a good time... Also, if nice beaches are what you are after, head over to Punta Leona for the day. About 15 minutes from Jaco to the north. Or Esterillos to the south. The first Esterillos, there are three, is a great place to take a chica for the day.

Just spent two days at the Cocal condos. It's everything you've read about and more. Fantastic accommodations, great staff and the only good meals we had in Jaco. Spend a buck and party like a rockstar! We did! I wouldn't do it any differently.

I Love Jaco!! 8) 8) 8)

Glad you enjoyed it!

What resturants did you eat at?

I stayed there last month and I'm really looking forward to going back in Feb.

I've got a group of 10 guys going to Jaco in Feburary. We have rented 3 condos at Vista Mar/Cocal Condos. :D

We are going to have a blast!

The Copa has gone downhill sad to say. Plenty of other choices just do a google and find what you want.
