A MORE RECENT REVIEW
I just got back this week from my
last stay at the Morazan, at the very least the last time I'll arrive in the evening to see whether they have my reservation.
It's been said on the board before, hell I've said it before, If you are arriving in the evening, there is a good chance that this hotel will have "lost" your reservation. Lost means they gave it away to someone without a reservation who showed up earlier, either for the sure thing or more likely because they offered a higher rate.
We confirmed our reservations by telephone with Fernando the night before we arrived. On arrival, Angie said that she only had reservations for 2 of our 3 rooms (and none of those were the rooms we reserved) and that they were fully booked. After complaining that this was typical behavior for late arrivals she at least gave us 3 rooms (sorry if that was a fellow CRT'er she bumped). She also stated that 2 people were fired last week due to the "reservation problem".
Room 407 had a very unpleasant odor. It was a sewage smell coming from the floor drain in the bathroom. Closing the bathroom door though helped limit the smell to the bathroom.
Yes the hotel has WIFI, but it was down every day. You could connect to it on the 3rd floor but the signal had no internet connectivity. Simply resetting it (which is all they would do when they get a complaint) did not fix the problem.
The breakfast was better than last time but nothing to get excited about, the "americano" was two pieces of unbuttered toast, two eggs made to order, 1 slice of bacon (or 1 sausage link, or slice of ham), a hash brown potato wedge, juice and coffee.
The "SCAM" game is still there, at least nobody seemed to be playing it:

The above does not conflict with
DonGordo's review, I too had new tile in the bathroom, good water pressure, a comfortable bed, and an OK breakfast, but
DonGordo and his brother arrived at 9am and probably don't use WIFI.
