I know lots of people who used to go there to work out or to play tennis, but have only met a few who stayed there. I don't recall any details, but they stayed there because El Sesteo was full. A sad fact of life in CR is that during a large part of the year, especially this time of year, if a room hasn't been full it will smell mildewed. I've seen this in many different places from reasonably high end to downright funky.

In my old neighborhood in Phila, there were a lot of Irish banderas flying, and they were always orange, white, and green!

The rooms are not nice, cheap, yes. The gym is old, the bowling alley is cool, and the tennis, squash and racquetball are good. Really, it is a Tico country club. Interesting to watch the scene though. OH, AND THE DESK GIRLS ARE HOTTIES BUT WAITRESSES AND WAITERS POOR SERVICE.
