Ive been reading this thread and have some questions to anyone who has stayed here. I am looking to go with a bunch of guys (at least 10) to this hotel in april. From what I read and heard from my friend who stayed here that its a great hotel spot. I am just curious, if anyone has stayed here with a big group of guys. Just trying to see if the hotel is "guest" friendly, good party spot, and if you have a big enough group is it possibe to rent out the hotel and make it like your own "villa". My main concern is if were partying at the hotel and pool during the day that other hotel guests might not approve of it. Might be weird if a family with young Ch*ldren are around while were drinking and doing jaco type things. We are not crazy animals but that's a big issue as I don't need to have an 11 year old K*D watching my friends party. Knowing me, all I'll care about is worrying how that family is having a bad time. Also, Ive read reviews saying big sized groups (like our size) have stayed there but never mentioned if they rented the whole place or took up almost all the rooms but were some other hotel guests staying there. Any help I would greatly appreciate.

I know Jack, one of the owners of this place, and also one of the owners of the Dunn Inn, and stayed here a couple of years ago. When I was there, it was girl friendly, because nobody cared, and there weren't any K*ds around. They do rent out the entire place, but this late in the game that might be difficult to pull off. Just call the hotel, they should be able to accommodate ten guys, easily, but you would probably have to share some rooms. The suites have privacy for two. The pool here is great, the restaurant is pretty good, you are just at the far end of Jaco, which isn't a huge deal, I was with a novia so it wasn't a deal breaker for me, but when on the prowl I definitely prefer to be in town. It's clearly walkable from the Cocal, just not a good idea at night, I would say it's about one mile to the Cocal directly on the beach. This would be a great place to rent out for a bachelor party, just need enough advance notice/time. Buena Suerta...

I stayed at Hotel 9 in 2014 with a group of 10 guys. Great place to stay.

Bros OJ and pagedown--Totally not busting here but if you guys are leading large parties here AND Hotel 9 is a CRT Sponsor, it'd make sense for at least the party leader to be a CRT paid member--That might give you leverage to get some discounts for the whole party. Your biz, of course... If Hotel 9 IS NOT a Sponsor, this gives Admin leverage to ask why not? We've delivered 60 plus room-nights via quality commentary in 1 Thread w/no headers, etc. Just sayin'...

Totally understand about becoming a member and probably will register when we get everything in place. We are trying to figure out a weekend where our group can all go and rent out the whole spot. It sounds like a great hotel and we def want to stay in jaco hopefully at Hotel 9. I appreciate the two replies so far and hopefully others will respond as well, as its always good to hear more opinions.
