Cab ride from the HDR using the hotel taxis was always 2 mil.

If you flag one down on the side street between Monkey Bar and side door of Blue Marlin and they use the Maria it should be 500 to 1000 colones.

Better yet let Oscar waive one down for you with one hand and the other is in your pocket while Paul Newman holds an umbrella over you so you can enjoy a fine cuban cigar admiring your new Rolex watch and desingner sun glasses:lol:

I stayed at Hemingway Inn in 2006. They have Wifi, charged $10 chica fees and had a computer setup. The rooms are old and noisy as hell. I could never get hot water out of the shower or sink taps.
I used to go to NF every day for nice warm steam room and shower in addition to the sex for $40/hour then.
Staff was friendly and breakfast good.
Hotel Castillo seems a better deal today.

Castillo is a million times better and only 50 feet away from Hemingway.

Is that a weekly rate? Does that include all taxes?

It is $34 per night including taxes IF you have CRT VIP status. However I prefer their $55 per night rooms.

All of the rooms in Castillo have hot water plumbing. I.E. no suicide showers. As far as I know, the $34 rooms are generally near the front dest or ground floor guest lounge/computer/piano area. Most of these rooms do not have windows to the outside but do have small windows into a common area. The rooms all have private bath, cable TV, telephone. May not have AC. Aside from the rooms size and location there is not a great deal of difference between these rooms and the deluxe rooms. The standard rooms are probably one of the best values in the gulch.

Western has it pegged accurately. I just prefer a window and perhaps a second floor balcony room with a breeze in the higher priced Castillo rooms. Truth be told, I'd take any available room at Castillo rather than spending more elsewhere. (But, I like Amistad and SL too.)

I like it out back in between the two restrauant/bar areas. Has a little kitchenette if needed, I think a small fridge. TV, air, shower. Furnishings nothing special, but functional.

Straight across from where they put out the breakfast, HB eggs, rice, toast, juice, fruit, coffee. Total: $55 cash with CRT, all taxes included.

Latest I heard though is the front bar (used to be the "Gardens") is not chica friendly & the back bar might not be either.

What's the word sss350?
