Don't forget to add $10 per chica that you bring up to your room.

So that $80 room will cost you $100 or 110, or $160 (QuickBlueFox price :P ). Plus almost 20% taxes.

If I had my way, it'd be more like 220... ;)

I posted earlier that the staff at SL had not responded to my emails. I just got an email from both Bill and Johanna. Johanna correctly suggested that their emails may be going to my bulk folder in yahoo. As i use outlook and my blackberry to receive and view emails, I was never seeing their email traffic. Let me publicly apologize to Bill and Johanna ( I have already done so to them privately). Bill and Johanna were both professional and VERY service oriented. Bottom Line - i will give SL a try on my next trip.

Also I think length of stay is a factor, for me at least. I am doing a weekend getaway and (while the Presidente or SL would probably be a nicer place to stay), I don't have time to mess around ;)

And for those of you that would rather spend your money on chicas than a room that only use for sleep (not much of that in the gulch) and for plucking ( and for this all you need is a bed, or floor, or table   ) there is the Morazon. $35 per night and no chica fee; closer than the SL or Prez.; and yes the rooms are small and some are noisy, but !!!!!!!!! I stayed there every trip for 10 years before moving here and never had a problem, and never minded the walk nor did the chicas seem to mind. And if you spend some time in the casino, part or all of your room may be compted. 2 times my bill for 7 nights was $0. One time it was $85, and I never spent that much time in the casino nor lost that much money.

I know a lot of members seem to think the Morazon is 2nd rate, and maybe it is, but as I said I would rather spend my money on chicas than on a room that I am not going to use that much--well maybe would use a lot but then who is paying attention to the room when you are there with a chica?

Another thing, some of the guys seem to be overly concerned with impressing the chicas;; well these chicas could care less as long as they get your $$$$$ and if you could see where most of them live, you would be aware that even the Morazon is like a palace to them.

Sorry, but I do not remember the rates for the 5th floor suites. If I get a chance tomorrow I will check with them and post here ASAP.

DrForm, Both times were several years ago and I don't remember for sure, but I am not a big gambler. As best I can remember, it was probable not more than an hour per day. I have heard that they no longer comp rooms except for really big gamblers - don't know for sure.

In a pinch I booked the Morazan for a few nights one busy weekend, checked in and Ricky Ricardo took me up to my beautiful room which was trashed and there was a used condom on the floor. I said hey Ricky Ricardo are you ph*%king kidding me!? Give me another room, "oh sorry senor last room we get it cleaned for you." They finally found a maid but still who checks a guest into a room that hasn't even been cleaned and has a used condom on the floor? :x As soon as my stuff was secure I walked the gulch until I found a room elsewhere and only spent one night in the dump Morazan, the room stunk and windows didn't open, I even went to Mas x Menos and bought a can of Lysol (since the maids didn't have any) and sprayed the room down so I could stand to spend the night in there. An amigo had one of the nicer rooms and he said his room was a pig-sty too and he also checked out ASAP. I'm not real picky or a germaphobe but the Morazan experience gave me the creeps and I'd rather stay at the Circus Cardboard Inns, at least they have clean cardboard, fresh air and get the used condoms out of sight before checking guests in.

Paco, I never said the Morazon was a 5 star hotel, and I refused to stay even one night in a Westin hotel (5 star)in Monterrey Mex. because the room was not clean and there were bugs in the room. I personally never had a problem with a room not being clean in the Morazon. Guess what I am saying is that accidents or problems can happen in any hotel (0 to 5 star).

And I certainly do not blame you for not liking the Morazon after a bad experienca, but if everyone found it to be that bad, they would not be able to stay in buisness.

The HDR is where the action is, but I like to be away from the action in a low key setting some of the time...

The Sportsmens is great with a club like atmosphere, nice rooms, reasonably priced and you're guaranteed to meet other VIPs for drinks and camaraderie... This is my first choice when rooms are available... Also, nice ladies are usually around for conversation and more... :D

The Clarion, formerly Amon Plaza, is also great place to stay... The rooms are clean, updated, restaurant/bar, casino, no chica fees and bring as many as you can handle... For convenience, it's just 1 block from ZB, 3 blocks to NF, and a 5 minute walk to the HDR or SL... Book through Nixon in the casino for deeply discounted rates...
